@infini-tree Lil jammer inspired me to draw a lil Jonathan! I drew him in 1950s style clothing cause if my math is correct I hope it is that would be the time that he and Bernice are around the same age as George and Harold (I think). I wonder if Bee and John ALSO went the Jerome Horwitz Elementary?...

And yes, Bee refers to Bernice. I imagine that’s the nickname he gave her. And sticking to my headcanon that Benjamin’s tape player once belonged to him, he has it in his hands!

Friendship Takes Two

Summary: We travel back to the mid-1960s, where 10-year-old Bernice Krupp makes a special new friend.

A/N: @infini-tree this takes place in the Sticky Notes AU but it’s all headcanons (including the year and age mentioned in the summary), so you don’t need to take this seriously, ok? But I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!!

“Oops!” said a 6th grade bully sarcastically as he pushed a 4th grade girl to the floor. He and his buddies laughed as she hit the ground with a painful thud.

“Can’t y’all leave me alone for once?...” the girl asked as she picked up her stuff and stood up.

It was only a second before she was pulled back to the floor.

“OW!” she exclaimed, clutching the top of her arm. “Watch it, bub, that’s sore!” she exclaimed again, this time to her bully’s face.

“Oh yeah?” he asked with a smirk and an eyebrow raise. “What’re you gonna do, farm girl?”

“Why don’t you pick on someone your own brain-size?!”

A boy about the same age as the girl with shaggy hair, a sweater with long sleeves and a big turtleneck, and a cassette player in his right hand suddenly stood between her and her bully, giving him a glare.

“My own what?!” the bully exclaimed in offense.

“You heard me. Pick on someone with a brain the size of a peanut, like yours.” the boy smirked.

The bully growled under his breath before eyeing the cassette player and snatching it from the boy.

“Hey! Give that back!” he shouted, trying to reach for it.

“Hmm...no thanks.” the bully teased, laughing with his buddies at the boy’s failed attempts to rescue his possession.

“Come on, give it back; please!” he begged, but to no avail.

“Give it back.” the girl suddenly stated sternly, her hands balled into fists.

The bullies just laughed.

“You think you’re tough, little farm girl? Bring it on!” the leader taunted.

Without a word, the girl cracked her knuckles, walked up to him, and punched him in the gut hard enough to make him fall to his knees and drop the cassette player.

She caught it before it hit the ground; the whole scene leaving the other bullies and the boy speechless.

“Who’s the tough one now?” she spoke ominously, with a grin so frightening to the bullies that they all ran off faster than Eggman running from Sonic.

“That was awesome!” the boy with the sweater shouted excitedly, accidentally startling the girl.

“Thanks...” she mumbled. “Here’s your...thing.” she added, handing him his possession. He happily took it and hugged it.

“Gee thanks! It’s my cassette player, it’s my favorite thing in the whole world!”

“That’s nice.” the girl mumbled again as she began walking away.

“Hey, wait up!” the boy caught up with her and walked beside her. “Where are you going?”

“To class.”

“But the bell hasn’t rung yet.”

“So?”

“Don’t you have any friends to talk to?”

The girl fell silent as she looked at the floor with a sad expression. “No...”

“How come?”

The girl paused. “Daddy doesn’t want me to have friends. He says that since there’s always work to do on the farm, I won’t have time to play with them.”

“He sounds mean.”

“Yeah...he hates me.”

“Why?”

She paused again before her expression turned into an annoyed one. “Why are you askin’ so many questions?”

“Sorry. I guess I’m just curious. But...”

“But what?”

“...I’d still like to be your friend.”

The girl’s eyes widened as she looked at the boy. “Y-You...want to be my friend?”

“Sure, if you want me to.”

The boy smiled at her, and she smiled back. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d done that. “I do.”

“YAY! I HAVE A NEW FRIEND!”

The girl giggled quietly at the boy’s enthusiasm.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!

“There’s the bell. See you at lunch!”

“WAIT!”

The boy skidded to a halt upon hearing the girl call out behind him. “We never told each other our names.”

“Oh yeah! My name’s Jonathan, but everyone calls me John for short. What’s yours?”

“Bernice.”

“That’s such a pretty name!”

“I-It is?” She smiled again, and even felt her face turn a little red.

“Yeah! Can I call you Bee for short?”

“Mm hm.”

“Great! I’ll see you at lunch again, Bee! Bye!”

“Bye.” As Jonathan ran off, Bernice felt her smile grow bigger, her face grow redder, and her heart beat faster. She wasn’t quite sure what it meant, but she’d never felt anything like it before.

And she hoped it would last forever.

What if Krupp’s dad didn’t die, but was abducted by aliens

Like the aliens were abducting one of the cows and accidentally took him too

And he’s been gone for 30+ years but for him it’s been like 30 minutes or something

And the aliens that took him and the cow are the same kind as Edith

I can imagine that when Bernice got pregnant for the third time, and before finding out it was a girl, she and John weren’t too happy.

John: No! No no no no NO! This HAS to be a joke! The boys are already a handful by themselves, not to mention the cows!

Bernice: Õ~Õ

John: ...It’s not a joke, is it?

Bernice: Nope.

John: *LOUD GROAN*

An Unexpected Meeting

@infini-tree you inspired me with this awesome post so I hope you enjoy my word art :P

Captain was too tired to change himself back to Ben.

He’d just fought a monster and it was late, so he made his way to Ben’s room and went to bed.

Soon after he drifted off, he found himself in a peaceful meadow, with blue skies and white puffy clouds, green grass and trees, and beautiful flowers.

“Wow...” he whispered to himself as he looked around.

“Beautiful, ain’t it?”

His eyes widened when he suddenly heard another voice behind him, and when he turned around, he saw a man with a red flannel and jeans, a cowboy hat and boots, a belt with a big gold buckle, sideburns, and green eyes.

And he looked almost exactly like him.

Captain stared at him for a minute or two. He had his hands in his pockets and a smile on his face, but his eyes looked sad.

“Who...” he started to say, but trailed off. He didn’t recognize him at all, but he had this very strange feeling that he knew him.

“Who am I?” the man asked. “I’m-”

“Wait, don’t tell me!” Captain interrupted him. He squinted at him and put a finger and thumb to his chin in thought. “You’re Ben...from the future!” he exclaimed after a few seconds.

The man chuckled. “Nope, I’m not from the future. You could technically say I’m from the past.”

“A time traveler from the past?” Captain asked in confusion.

“No, I’m not a time traveler.” the man answered.

“Well, who are you then?” Captain asked again.

“Name’s John.” the man answered. “I’m Ben’s father.”

Captain’s eyes widened more than they had earlier. Now he understood why he felt like he knew him.

“Are you really?” Captain asked.

“Yup.” John answered.

“Wow...no wonder we look so much alike!” Captain exclaimed, causing John to chuckle again.

“You remind me of Ben when he was little.”

“Do I? How so?” Captain asked.

“He used to be like you. Happy and carefree.” John answered.

“Really?” Captain was both shocked and excited to learn that his buddy Ben wasn’t always a big grump.

They talked about it for a few minutes before Captain realized something.

“Hey, if you’re from the past, but you’re not a time traveler, then how are you here?” he asked. “I’m sorry if I’m asking too many questions.” he added.

“S’alright.” John answered, looking away to the side. As he did so, his demeanor changed from cheerful to somber.

Captain feared he’d said something wrong, but before he could say anything...

“Do you know what death is, Captain?”

The waistband warrior’s eyes widened a third time. Never had he been asked a question as depressing as this.

“Well...y-yeah...but w-why are you asking me that?” he asked in return, fiddling with his own fingers anxiously.

John took a breath.

“’Cause I’m dead.” he answered. “Been that way since Ben was little.”

Captain was so shocked, he had to take a few steps back. He had no clue what to think.

“I-I guess...this must be why neither him or Jasper ever mentioned you...” he finally said with a nervous chuckle.

“Jasper was much too young to remember me. Ben just doesn’t like to talk about it.” John commented.

“I don’t blame him.” Captain responded.

Then there was silence.

Eventually, John broke it. “Well, I came here to get to know ya some, so can ya tell me a bit about yourself?” he asked.

“Sure!” Captain answered cheerfully. “I’m a superhero, obviously, and I fight monsters a lot to keep the town safe. Not quite sure where they all come from, but my sidekicks have told me not to question that.”

“Your sidekicks?” John asked.

“Yes! Their names are George and Harold, and they go to the school that Ben’s the principal of. They also help out with the monster battles a lot, and they’re my best friends, besides Ben, of course, and-”

“Lemme stop ya right there, pal.” John suddenly blurted, holding up his hand. Captain frowned when he saw that he didn’t look happy.

“Your sidekicks are a couple o’ kids?” he asked, lowering his hand.

“Yes. Why?” Captain asked in return.

“Don’t ya think that might be a bit too dangerous for them?” John asked again.

“Of course not! They’re really smart! And pretty fast runners, too!” Captain answered.

“I don’t think you’re quite understandin’ what I’m sayin’.” John was still not happy, but Captain didn’t notice it this time.

“Of course I do! You’re not talking in some weird language or something.” he said, oblivious to John’s shrinking temper.

The former farmer took his hands out of his pockets and pointed at the hero angrily. “Listen, bub, I’m tryin’ to tell ya somethin’ important!” he bellowed.

“Fightin’ monsters ain’t safe for those boys, ya hear? One wrong move, and they could get seriously hurt!” he continued. Captain guessed that this must’ve been were Ben got at least some of his temper from.

“Or worse.” John added.

“W-Worse?” Captain stuttered.

John glided a finger across his neck.

Captain gulped.

“I want you to think about that, Captain. Long and hard. Now, it’s time I head on back. It was nice meetin’ ya.” John tipped his hat before turning around and walking away.

“Wait-”

Captain tried to call out to him, but he woke up before he could get more than one word out of his mouth. He layed there staring at the ceiling for a few seconds before sitting up, putting a hand on his head as he tried to wrap his mind around what just happened.

But he could only think about what John had said about the boys. Questions raced through his mind?

Was it just John disliking the idea of the boys getting involved in battles?

Or was it...

...a warning?

Imagine This!

Bernice grew up in the south, which is why she has a southern accent. John grew up in Ohio and lived on the Krupp cattle ranch, which was owned by his parents.

I like to think that the reason Bernice was rough on Benny during his childhood was because her parents were rough on her during her childhood, and she had all the innocence knocked out of her (I think Benny still has some left, which is why Happy Krupp is able to exist; right?)

So how did John and Bernice meet?

She couldn’t take it anymore so she ran away from home and somehow ended up in Piqua, where she met and became good friends with John, who’s parents were kind enough to give her a place to stay since she had nowhere to go.

And I think we all know what went on from there ;)
