a lot of comedians joke about how their life ended when they got married and how much they hate their wife and shit but john mulaney always talks about his wife in his standup and he never disses her. it’s rlly highlighted in kid gorgeous where he’s like “i can make fun of my wife. i asked her and she said i could.” and he goes on to explain like the conversation they had when he asked if he could talk about her on stage and how she asked him to never call her a bitch and say that he hates her and he was like... offended by the idea of ever saying that he hated his wife. like he loves his wife so much and he isn’t afraid to show it and it’s rlly cute
