so, the pages as they are in the physical are really well formatted, as any deniz camp comic is. if you notice, the john & bridget panels start out as roughly half the page on top, with another small panel on the bottom. this is at the forefront of john’s mind. he’s present with his wife for the first time in a long time. however, as the situation with the martian intensifies, the panels of john and bridget shrink, and the martian’s story grows to take up more of the page. john’s focus is diverted. once again, the martian gets between john and bridget’s relationship. it’s fascinating, and i truly love how much care camp takes to make sure the experience of reading a comic book in physical matters.
