this might be one of the most important parts of absolute martian’s finale to me. john and bridget may have solved their emotional hangups, yes, but that doesn’t automatically mean they’re getting back together like things were before. it doesn’t undo all the times john flaked out on bridget for overtime at his job. it doesn’t magically smooth everything over. bridget was still hurt by him. she’s not just going to pretend that didn’t happen. she’s giving john another chance with her heart, to prove that he can be the person she knows he is. beautiful.

have not read absmartian #12 yet but based on the preview i’m very happy we got 12 issues instead of 6 because if they stuck to the original 6 issue plan bridget’s role in the finale would have been a 3rd act hype moment for john. i’m glad that #12 looks to be centering her a little more.
