That is hard to do. Tread water for 40 minutes then be able get up that high out of the water. It takes a lot of strength and guts to be goalie. You have to be fearless! I am so proud of my hard working girl. So thankful she listened to her mother and even tried to play goalie! It was only because I was told by a dad (who knew the game well and saw her play at the local @vnso.pool ) that she could even be a good goalie. I listened to him as I knew nothing about the sport he helped me to find a great club team. Jack Kocur was starting a girls team from scratch @pridewaterpolo and then I found John Burroughs Highschool @jbhs_official who had a pretty good waterpolo team @jbhs_waterpolo. They all have been so supportive to Ema. I am so grateful to everyone in her life. The parents of her team mates have been great! She listened to me and all her coaches, teachers and focused and worked hard now it is all paying off. As a result she is getting a scholarship to @universityofthepacific to play goalie! Next year my love you will be playing for one of the best “upcoming” teams in the US for girls waterpolo. You will be a Tiger at The University of The Pacific and studying business at one of the best business schools in the country. I have a feeling in the next 4 years team UOP is going to win a lot of games maybe even finally a National Title.
