2020 is the first year of my photography career since 2008 that I do not have a wedding to photograph as the primary photographer. I’ll be honest... this is a huge relief. I am still second shooting weddings for primary photographers that can afford me, so I will still get my wedding fix. •⠀ So, with that said, I’m still going to share photos of weddings every now and again that are worth sharing. • • • I had the pleasure of photographing Laura and Mat’s wedding at the historic Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach. • I love these moments when the bride is finishing up getting ready with her closest clan around her. The NextDoor app. It’s a thing.⠀ •⠀ •⠀ •⠀ I had the pleasure of photographing Lori and Matt’s wedding in Virginia Beach.⠀ •⠀ I had such great rapport with this couple that I was certain that they must have been a referral from another client, but when I was discussing with them how they found me after the wedding, it turns out they found me on the NextDoor app. This is just a reminder to you other creative types out there to make sure you are taking advantage of all the opportunities out there to get more business. With American Ninja Warrior Season 12 audition submissions due this Friday, now’s a great time to share some of my journey in the ninja community during Season 11.⠀ •⠀ •⠀ •⠀ Here is one of my absolute favorite ninjas, Maggi Thorne. She is one of the most friendly and genuine person I’ve met in my entire life. Just being in her presence always brings a smile to my face. Maggi is a super awesome lady that anyone can look to for inspiration.⠀ •⠀ This portrait, on-set in L.A., we managed to get as the rain continued to fall more heavily, stopping production on the first night of taping. Maggi is a natural in front of the camera and rocked out what little time we had before the rain was too much.
