as the song pansy by Taemin plays in the background, you walk down the aisle staring at the man waiting for you at the end of it. you told yourself nothing was every going to be perfect but this was so close to being called so. white orchids hanging from the ceiling like vines, friends and family watching and silently congratulating you from their seats, and your beloved soon to be husband now reaching out his hand for you to hold.
johnny squeezed your hand as he adoringly looked into your eyes, winking while mouthing an i love you. facing the pastor in front of you, he starts the wedding ceremony.
as you finished saying your vows johnny was slowly tearing up but kept himself together.
“johnny you may now say your vows” the pastor says as johnny smiles while he grabs a neatly folded paper from his pocket.
“you always had hope in me when everyone else didn’t and you always pushed me to be the best version of me. with this, as you become my life long partner i promise you a few things. though they can’t amount to the good you have done for me i want to promise you that i will always love you no matter what. as simple as it sounds that promise equivalents to how much i am willing to give to you physically, emotionally, and mentally. i’ll be here with you as we age, as we watch our children grow, and as we move forward together. i love you so much and i look forward to spending this lifetime with you.” he says as he ends by kissing the palm of your hand while looking into your watering eyes.
with this the priest looks at both of you with an early congratulatory smile while saying “y/n do you take johnny to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

as johnny was about to answer your hearing suddenly disappears and you look at everyone around you. they all look at you with smiles on their faces as if time has stopped. when you turned to face back to johnny you’re faced with a bright white light instead.
“she’s awake! patient 127 is awake!” you hear someone yell in the background around you. your eyelids felt heavy and as you slowly open your eyes you’re faced with your younger brother sungchan.
he looked at you with tears in his eyes, making you even more confused. you sat up and looked around you only to be faced with dull white walls, a needle inserted into your hand with a tube connected to it, and concerned family members around you.
you opened your mouth to ask what was going on but you were cut off by your brother. “you were in a car accident, a few days ago you were about to go to the house for dinner as you finally finished wedding preparations with johnny. while you-“ suddenly the world around you started the crumble.
hearing sungchan explain what was happening tears started flowing down your eyes.

“johnny! wait until after dinner you horny man!” you semi-yell as johnny places kisses down your neck. “but i can’t help it you look so good right now.” he wiggles his eyebrows “but fine, let’s not keep the delicious cakes in front of us waiting.” he says as he grabs the fork and quickly dives in.
the car spun then turned over
“don’t you think the dress looks a bit weirder now?” you say as you awkwardly adjust the dress to your liking. johnny then sneaks his arm around your waist from behind and kisses your cheek “baby, you’re just paranoid you look beautiful as always.”
he lost a lot of blood from the impact and they operated on him as soon as he arrived
“are you sure you won’t stop loving me right when i arrive in front of you on our wedding day?” johnny just laughs as he is so used to you and your overthinking. he kisses your forehead and says “i won’t stop loving you even if you have wrinkles on your face and you think you’re ugly. by then i’ll still love you and think you’re beautiful” he says as you both laugh at his cheesiness. as the laughter died down he starts the engine “let’s go before your parents kill us for being late.”.
as he was about to start the engine he stops to give you a kiss. johnny then looks at you and stares into your eyes and says “i loved you, i love you, and i will always love you. like they say in weddings till death do us part”
you look outside your hospital window as your brother’s words kept replaying in your head
he didn’t make it.
