Any headcanons for guy and boosters friendship??

i think that their like main thing that they do together is watch movies/tv. they both have like media gaps due to being in the 25th century or coma. but like its in different spots cause booster did some media catchup when he got here which wouldve fallen during guy’s coma. meanwhile i think theyre about the same age when they meet with guy being a little older so like guy knows stuff that wouldve been what booster grew up with if he was born in this time. sometimes tora comes in and watches stuff too but guy and booster have a tendency to talk over the movie or show which annoys the hell out of tora so if they get too loud she leaves. ted would also sit in on this and then they get REALLY loud

guy and booster generally avoid football movies because its painful for both of them. they would toss around a football together though. usually in the air above some long street

booster is the person guy mainly talks to about relationship problems pre warrior. booster will also talk to guy about his but beatriz is his first choice

guy’s most important friendship in his early hero days is booster. so if booster’s teasing hits the wrong button guy can really explode

i do think they slept together once at the like start of the jli. beatriz won the ongoing bet about that when it finally came to light

when they’re older and they both have kids they do play dates for them which also sometimes doubles as a jli lunch date (ted and booster are married obvi, and guy and tora have a kid but tora is married to beatriz)

booster is the jli member who doesnt have to pay at warriors the most often

they get really silly when they do karaoke together

That's exactly why dc is doing it they saw the gays getting too bold about Booster and felt the need to knock them down a peg

its honestly disgusting at points, i keep thinking about that panel from defenders 2018 written by bendis in which deadpool sees punisher (a character that pretty much is the embodiment of heterosexist masculinity) and distracts him from taking a sniper shot by just tackling him and kissing him on the mouth and frank hits him and wipes his lips and is so fucking furious LIKE ITS... its just so fucking bad and yeah its not tumblrs fault it is this way but every time i see deadpool celebrated as the pinnacle of lgbt rep its just. well its bad!

Ted and boosters 90s relationship of just keeping eachother alive and caring about each other when others didnt is really one of my favorite eras of theirs. Its a shame the overall eritings kinda shoddy and the arts not super appealing. so it gets brushed off as the edgy era. Its got so much potential in regards to their relationship. 😭sorry i just love that part of them!

But yeah the Vado run has some of my fav emotional beats! That whole run feels like the jli coping with the fact ‘the good ol days’ are gone now and the ways they like cling to each other and then fall apart usually feel really true to me

I think there’s this really interesting thing tho where that like hyper masculine 90s art—while very difficult for me to get through honestly—is kind of ‘plausible deniability’ that lets booster and ted be a lot more emotionally open and affectionate than they are in a lot of eras. Like they’re plenty touch-y before then, but it’s a lot more like back slaps and arms slung around each other. While during that 90s era you get a very un-self conscious kind of affection! Because they are Extreme and Gritty Superheroes now, which eases straight anxieties
