Two years ago (oh my does time fly) I had the opportunity to showcase my work at the @rawmelbourne exhibition with other Melbournian artists and creatives. It was a strange experience because I’m a pretty low key guy and not one to brag about my work. With that said, it was a great experience to see others view my work... but honestly, what really made me happy the most was seeing the crew browse through the Backseat Ballads Greatest Hits photobook that @char_lenee designed and their reactions as they reminisce over the countless memories we’ve made over the years. This year was the first time I haven’t planned anything for my birthday. In many ways my birthday was the beginning of the festivities that would occur to kickstart the end of the year: whether it’s other birthdays (RAT paCk), Christmas, New Years and some engagements/weddings in between. In 2013 I decided to go ice skating (which had long been on our ‘To Do List’) and pizzas/drinks back at my place afterwards. It was the year when the merge happened and I’ll confidently say that if camp first allowed us all hang/get to know each other then my birthday solidified this bond.
