Bet You’re Wondering ...
... where I seem to have gone? Well, after last week’s crush to get everything ready for the 2-day crafts show and also remove my merchandise from a shop where the temari just were not selling - and moving a display cabinet out - I had to decompress! This week I had to sort out everything, pull duplicates, adjust prices, and price everything to get it ready for future sales with all my ducks in a row. I also ordered new business cards for the temari, and new one for the tarot card readings to have with me; I also ordered a banner for my table (see below). I started working on a temari at the show, but have yet to finish it. I am still waiting for the credit card reader from Square to arrive; I had to run out to Staples and buy one, and I’ve already gotten the refund from Square - and the one they sent me still has not arrived yet! Supposed to be sending me a second one! Why does anyone still use DHL delivery services?
I have spent the past couple of days doing sewing and repairing and going to JoAnn’s. This weekend I am bringing a quilt top to a professional quilter in Vermont, and preparing entries for the big competition in September. I was asked to do a craft show next week, but I already have a large one scheduled for the end of June, planning on one in July, and another one in September.
In my crafts queue, I have bias binding to make for the quilt, I have sneakers to paint to match my wizard costume, a hat box to build for one of my costume hats, and a custom sporran to make to go with my stars & moons kilt. As one of my working friends asked me: “How did you ever find time to work a job?” Damned if I know!
