marvel college verse

I'm really bored so I thought why not?

in a world where there are heroes, there are also students. students, who just happen to be said heroes. whether they be regular humans with amazing skills or smartness, genetically enhanced people, or plain old aliens, they all happen to go to the same school. NYU. and, it just so happens that they all live in the same dorm, all on the same floor. of course, even the aliens have to pick a major, and do regular college-life stuff. 

only rules are to be nice, keep drama ic, include everyone, and no duplicate characters/faceclaims. please also track "v; college heroes" and be active. sorry, but canon characters only. (that includes comics, not just movies)

      welcome to sunset valley mental hospital, where there’s state of the art facilities and doctors that graduated at the top of their class. patients are treated with respect and as equals as the staff here works to help them sort through their issues and become full functioning members of society!  

      here at sunset valley the patients are given a wristband when they arrive, green for passive, yellow for elastic and red for volatile. it’s all in the name of treatment though, in order to keep the staff safe and provide patients with the best care possible. during the day, the patients have free reign of the facilities, the yard & the gardens, the day room, as well as the gym where nurses and doctors will supervise exercise and sometimes they open up the pool. the only thing to remember is you’re not supposed to be in anyone else’s room, not that they check often. here the patients are admitted for an array of different problems, but have no fear, here at sunset valley, the staff is equipped to make all their patients dreams come true.

it’s advised that if you are triggered by any of the following themes, you reconsider if this verse is one you will not be comfortable in; sex, hospitals, drugs, depression, mentions of suicide, substance abuse, language, mental illness & addiction. 

all canon & oc characters are welcome, no duplicate fc’s unless discussed

make an effort to interact with all verse members! discuss plots and associations if you wish beforehand.

do not godmode other characters, stir up hate, or be rude ooc. you will be removed from the group.

be sure to let an admin know of any major verse happenings ( character deaths, episodes, etc )

positions are open for patients, doctors/therapists and nurses. 

this is a modern day mental hospital au, therefore there are no lobotomies, shock therapy, etc, etc. there will be more group therapy as well as one on one therapy with the therapists rather than extreme treatment.

for the sake of the verse we’re going to pretend that there is a lot of leeway and places to sneak off to because we all know that people are going to want to ship and make out in closets and whatever.

if you go inactive for more than two weeks without notice, you will be removed from the group. please be aware of this and don’t get mad if you’re removed after a period of inactivity.

Some people are born great. Some people achieve greatness and some people have greatness thrust upon them. For the residents of the Nightingale Haven, they fall into all three categories. Why? They’re special. Almost the entire population of the island possess superhuman abilities. They call themselves the Elites.

Elite; Noun. A group of people considered to be the best in a particular society or category, esp. because of their power, talent, or wealth.

And that’s exactly what they are.

Thirty years ago Elite Supremacy Advocates (more commonly referred to as Rebels) turned on the Humans which unraveled into all-out war. Those who sided with the Humans worked together to defeat the Rebels but the war left deep scars on the relationship between Elite and Human. Before long, the Elites fled to the Havens for safety and have lived in peace for thirty years.

But all is not well. The Rebels are rising again, and the Elite’s are determined to rid themselves of such evil once and for all. But when loyalties are being shaken and your very neighbour could be working for the Rebels, who do you fight for?
