Look who I finished tonight!!!! Joseph and Caesar have been sitting around for ages bc I've been too afraid to cut Caesar's hair. But I finally just did it tonight and I love it!!! They look so cute together! Ugh I'm so happy with them! One day in the future I'll make some time to make them little wardrobes so they have some extra outfits it for now I'm calling them done and setting them on the shelf!
Does anyone have any advice on how to get this type of neck peg to work with barbie heads? The bread tag trick never works for me and I'm just at a loss. Poor Kakyoin can't keep his head on
First serger project. Not perfect and I'll definitely need some practice but I'm super happy with it!
Took the advice of @dollsonmain and used a spare Ken head to create a neck peg....type thing to finally get Kakyoin's head on his body securely. Then I restyled his hair and put his cherry dress on and I just love him a lot 😅
Brought Noriaki up from my downstairs sewing area and now he and Jotaro are reunited and judging the dolls who are on my dollhouse and not sitting above my bed
My wrist is killing my but Kakyoin has a more canon looking jacket now so maybe it's worth it?
Outfit is nearly done. I want to say Caesar is almost finished now but that's a lie. He's like....2/3rds done 🤣
Doll things have been slow going as my mom has insisted I help her with her sewing rather than work on any of my own stuff BUT I did manage to sneak in one face up recently! This is Joseph Joestar from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure! (Or he will be) I was given the idea to do the really graphic hatch lines in these dolls from some nondoll friends and while I was nervous about it I loved the idea! I have recently been drawing in a very jojo inspired art style as well but wasn't sure it would translate the same on a 3D form. But I actually really like how it turned out and I think it really captures the jojo look and it's a very unique piece compared to my other dolls! I feel like I'm growing as an artist everytime I do a new face! Anyway. Enjoy
