I'm still stuck on Dragon being the one who saved Shanks. I know we like to joke about the dads in One Piece, that seem to always abandon their children. But Dragon... this man saved the person who would become his son's biggest inspiration, the person his son admires the most. And he was 17, he didn't know, he COULDN'T know!! He saw 2 babies in a hellscape and saved them.

He saved SABO, his son's brother, because again, he saw a child who was suffering and gave him a home and a purpose. Because this child had nowhere else to go. He saved one of the people Luffy loved the most and thought he lost forever.

He saved Luffy from certain death twice in Loguetown.

He couldn't save Ace, he didn't and couldn't know what he meant to Luffy.

I've always felt Dragon left Luffy not just because the Revolutionary Army was a dangerous place for children, but also because he wanted to give Luffy the option, the choice, the freedom to become whatever he wished. (Giving him to Garp seems a bit counterintuitive to that, I won't lie, this isn't a perfect headcanon by any means)

And it doesn't escape me the poetry that the man who saw injustice, violence and oppression in God Valley and decided to create the Revolutionary Army, "gave birth" to the God of Liberation.

IT'S MY BOY, LARRY THE ROGUE!!! And his veeeery well behaved (not) familiar Zybellina the sable! Larry is a mix of halfling and tiefling so he's a lil' tiny cutey devil :D

Had the best time at the first sunday mass of Pride Month yesterday (Hozier concert) he was SO happy to be in Rio for the first time 🥺 AND HE LET HIS HAIR DOOOWN AND HE WAS ALL GIGGLY WHEN WE CALLED HIM BEAUTIFUL.

Hello, guys! Thank you so much for the patience and kindness, I didn’t wanna simply not post anything today so here we go, the playlist now has an official tumblr post :D and believe me, it’s waaay bigger than those 12 songs up there, I might have gone overboard with it lol. 

I’ve been slowly but surely writing and polishing chapter 7, not having a deadline has helped my sanity TREMENDOUSLY. And even with my turtle (hehe) pace I have reached 35K without even finishing chapter 7! So you can imagine how big this thing will be. HAVE A GREAT DAY, EVERYONE!!

HEHEHE ok ok thats faaaair, im a naughty turtle ;3

I'm working on chapter 7 of Switchblades and Motorbikes. Here's a little snippet of how it's going (spoilers under the cut)

But Alex has that expression on his face. The almost vacant one that hides a brain going a hundred kilometres an hour. Mouth agape, hand extended, waiting for the talking to start so he can gesture wildly and mimic his words. Nothing will come out, though. Alex’s eyes shift in panic, slowly realising he can’t do it. Whatever it is, it’s stuck and won’t come out. 

Matt decides to be cruel about it. Probably to discourage Al from any further insistence. For his own good, Matt will justify.  “If you can’t say it, mate, don’t expect us to follow along.” 

Alex sighs and his eyes glaze over. He looks at the ceiling, he looks at the floor. Shoulders square slightly as he puts his hands on his hips. One hand comes up to rub red eyes as his tongue ticks and Adam’s apple bobs, swallowing on nothing. Jamie tenses, he knows that body language. Dread and determination.

“Yeah,” Alex acquiesces. “You’re right, Matty. Allus are…”
