and now the moment you've all been waiting for...
Black Friday Song Ranking!!!!
17 - Monsters and Men - Now this is scandalous cause I know a lot of people loved this song but for me no, it wasn't a bad song now it just wasn't doing it for me, Jeff killed the vocals and the music was good I just didn't like it as much as other songs on the soundtrack
16 - Monsters and Men (Reprise) - Same reason as the not Reprise lol
15 - Black Friday - I don't really have a reason for this I just had to have a bottom song like, I didn't not like this song and Lord knows I love Angela and think she absolutely killed it but I just don't know, it felt like something was missing (not Mariah, I see people making that comment but I promise that's not the reason)
14 - What Tim Wants - Ugh I feel awful putting this song so low Dylan is a literal angel just again, something was missing
13 - Wiggle - This song was kinda weird, in a good way
12 - If I Fail You - Looking back on my ranking I should put this higher it really is a beautiful song I fully nearly started crying
11 - Tickle Me Wiggle Jingle - Jeff really pulled it outta the bag on this soundtrack, I love the pure energy this song emits
10 - Deck The Halls (Of Northville High) - I actually loved this song, I. put it here because it doesn't progress the plot as much as songs higher still one of the funnest song on the soundtrack I really love the vocal arrangements
9 - What If Tomorrow Comes - This song has been stuck in my head since the trailer came out and I just love Kendall's voice, it was so smooth again I adored the vocal arrangements in it a really beautiful track
8 - Feast or Famine - This song literally gave me chills when I first listened, honestly I love the music in it jeez it's so eerie I love it
7 - Made In America - JOEY SLAYED OMG, I love this song so much, the staging and arrangements are incredible truly a credit to Jeff and the band (and Joey)
6 - Adore Me - Villain songs I love villain songs and starkid villain songs always nail it, I think this song really showed Linda's narcissistic attitude as well as her selfishness, also Lauren
5 - Do You Want To Play? - Fuck this song gave me chills, the piano, it mixed so well with Kim's voice and Dylan's inputs made it so good, I also really love the way it was filmed and staged, this song really creeped me out in the best way possible, it really for me showed how even the nicest people can be corrupted
4 - CaliforM.I.A - I love this song. Angela and Roberts voices worked so well and complemented each other's voices perfectly, I loved the guitar in the back. And I also loved Lex as a character she had a very realistic backstory and ideals
3 - What Do You Say? - This was one of the funniest songs on the soundtrack, how awkward Becky and Tom were and how weird everyone was with them was hilarious and this song really highlights them as characters lol
2 - Take Me Back - This song was absolutely jaw dropping, Dylan and Kim are unreal Lord. I love Becky and Tom's unbottled feelings finally being unleashed it a beautiful climactic moment of vulnerability damnit I love it
and now, number one....
OUR DOORS ARE OPEN BITCHES - Corey's vocals! Jesus! Unbelievable! He's one of the best singers in the show woah. I loved the a cappela-y, Grease vibes I got from it, the lyrics were clever and hilarious and Corey was incredible amazing.
Basically 'Black Friday' was awesome, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk (yes I do have more to say about 'Take me Back' maybe some other day)
