It should be obvious by now, but I love Bandcamp. There is no easier way to be introduced to so much “new” music. Case in point - Jonathan Something. This “band” is the work of Jon Searles (based in Connecticut). While there is a newer release (”Cannibal House Rules”), I love the more “traditional” band approach (check out “New Jersey Rum”) of this release.
This has sounds that recall the work of Bob Dylan, The War on Drugs, Titus Andronicus, and Erik Blood.
This was released by Solitaire Recordings (New York). I can’t wait to dig into this label - there are many Australian bands on their roster.
