So I watched Dark T_T

My thoughts are somewhere along the lines of

I didn't understand half of it during the first watch because I did not want to pause and go back

That's ok there are 3 seasons to figure out who is who

Which means it's brilliant tho. The SYMBOLISM

The cast & acting is really wow

It is the first production I've seen that doesn't make me ashamed of German cinema. Well well well well done, in fact. We're getting better.

It captures what "German" is quite well while also still feeling wrong somehow because I do believe there are different stereotypes of Almans and this type is not the one I'm familiar with lol. It's gotta be regional. Especially around power plants

What is just "German" to me, other viewers have called highly character-driven. This might actually be a hidden strength of ours

The ending is so peaceful and tragic and comforting and it makes up for all the shit that went down in between seriously. It also makes perfect sense. It's a flawless wrap-up.

I'm ok with certain problematic topics because it's clear that something is wrong with that world. That's literally what the story revolves around

I'm angry at certain people's arcs but that too is ok it was never about them.
