There's an Oracle line, in the first movie, "Morpheus believes in you so blindly, he would give his next life for you" (chills). Maybe he is young now because he has awoken in another time (miss you Lawrence Fishburne).
Jonathan Groof may be the next Agent Smith (there's another clip where Neo is been punch over a wall, he looks like Jonathan, which looks like a nod from the first movie).
A new way of enter the matrix, in which new or updated version of it, especially for Neo.

Maybe the machine step in and create a version of Morpheus, to what end I can't think of something smart and good.
Somehow, I believe this version is a tempting way of making a reboot but taking a chance of a sequel, both you know.
