OGUNQUIT, Maine — The way Jonathan Mousset tells it, he got his first break when he was nine years old and singing in the car. “You have a pretty decent voice,” his mother told him. She decided to get him into a choir so he could pick up some instruction, and soon after he starred as Simba in a production of “The Lion King.” That, he told a local news outlet, “is when people knew I could sing.”
The Ogunquit Playhouse 2019 season kicks off with Jersey Boys! The multi-Tony Award-winning, international sensation that performed to sold-out houses during its run in 2018, is back by popular demand May 15 through June 15. The cast that BroadwayWorld exclaimed to be the closest you'll ever get to having seen Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, also returns to the Ogunquit stage - Jonathan Mousset (Frankie Valli), Matt Magnusson (Tommy DeVito), Andy Christopher (Bob Gaudio), and Matthew Amira (Nick Massi).
Holly-Anne Palmer directs the Northeast regional premiere.
Casting is now complete for the Ogunquit Playhouse staging of the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys, which will play the Maine venue September 5–October 28.
Jonathan Mousset will head the cast as Frankie Valli, with Matthew Guy Magnusson as Tommy DeVito, Andy Christopher as Bob Gaudio, and Matthew David Amira as Nick Massi.
