대박... the singing god Chen is right in front of me. I cover my mouth with my hands and breathe in loudly.
"와! 첸! 안- 안녕하세요." I bow still in shock even though I knew I would see them eventually.
"오, 내가 누군지 알겠구나." He says laughing.
"당연하지! Omg... I can't believe I'm in the same room as the singing god Chen... sometimes I can't believe I'm related to THE Park Chanyeol... my life is AMAZING!" He smiles shyly after I said "singing god" and looks down. In that time, Chanyeol left somewhere so I was just inside with Chen.
"You know, I'm not the only singing god-" Chen starts.
"I know... Baekhyun, Xiumin, D.O., and literally basically everyone is good." I ramble.
"Well yes but I meant to say that you are a singing god too." He says shyly and slightly flustered that I ruined his compliment.
"Oh..." I look down so he couldn't see me blushing. My face was burning and then I felt the cool breeze of the air outside and the creaking of the door.
"Why are you guys just sitting there?" Chanyeol asked. He came inside with Baekhyun, Sehun, Suho, and Kai. 4 MORE hot guys walking PURPOSEFULLY into the room I was in. Sure, Chanyeol was "hot" but he's my cousin and that's just weird...
"안녕 주연!" Baekhyun waves at me excitedly. I don't know what face expression I made or if I even could've looked more shocked than I already was but the fact that he knew my name...
"H-how d-do you k-know m-my n-na-name?" I say slipping over my words.
"Oh, Chanyeol told me. Actually he told all of us... wow, I have to say though, you look a lot cuter in person, if that was even possible looking at your picture." He flashes me a smile and grabs the mic.
"야, 백현아, don't forget that she's my cousin." Chanyeol says to a smug Baekhyun. Sehun takes a seat next to me and just watches Baekhyun as he starts singing and dancing crazily.
"You probably know who I am but if you don't I'm Sehun." He puts out his hand and I carefully shake his hand like it was a sacred object (it is😂). Suho bows and shakes my hand to greet me.
"안녕하세요, 준면 입니다." He says as he bows and shakes my hand at the same time.
"Ummm... I think I'm younger than you. 편하게 말해도 돼요." I say embarrassed.
"그러도 돼요? I mean, 그러도 돼?"
"Sure... curse at me if you want." I shrug. "산관없어."
"Hyung, don't actually curse at her." Chanyeol chimes in.
"Okay, I won't, thank you." Suho, err... well Junmyeon sits down next to Sehun and starts talking to him. Baekhyun is still performing and was dancing a girl group dance. Chen was laughing hysterically and I decided it was time to show my skills. Even though Kai hadn't introduced himself, it didn't look like he would anytime soon because he was sitting at the edge glancing at me once or twice and sitting their awkwardly. I join Baekhyun in his dance because I knew girl group dances more and I totally won. If it was a dance contest. But it wasn't. But I still would've won.
"와..." Baekhyun says out of breath after we finish the song. "You're way better than Chanyeol at dancing but still you both look and sound similar..." I thank him and Chanyeol just gets mad at Baekhyun.
"I can still do better than her at our dances." He counter replies.
"For now." Baekhyun says. "Let's do a dance battle!" He pulls Chanyeol out of his seat and brings Kai too. "What song should we do?"
"Chanyeol 오빠 taught me "으르렁" so we could do that one." I pipe up.
"오빠? That close already? Can you call me 오빠 too?" Baekhyun asks.
"Uh sure... 오빠." I say.
"Let's do 으르렁 then." Baekhyun starts putting in the numbers.
"Wait, we're singing AND dancing?" I ask.
"Yeah, why not? Let's see if I remember it." Baekhyun shakes his arms and legs to warm up. Chanyeol and Kai also warm up. As soon as the song starts, my body starts moving. Chen and Junmyeon look surprised and I thought I was doing something wrong. I sing and I start dancing in smaller motions because I was less confident. I WAS DANCING 으르렁 WITH EXO! WHAT IS HAPPENING! After the song ends, Junmyeon and Chen cheer and clap and Sehun spares a glance and cheers a bit.
"와! You're good!" Baekhyun says to me.
"Not as good as me!" Chanyeol retorts. Kai walks up to me.
"H-hi." He says.
"Hi." He was behind me while I was dancing so I couldn't really say you danced well... what do I do.
"You did well. Didn't you just learn that yesterday?" He asks.
"Uh yeah but I practiced a lot. I had to watch the video to watch it because Chanyeol's teaching wasn't enough." I laugh awkwardly.
"Well I guess it paid off because you are good enough to be a part of EXO! Maybe with a bit more confidence though."
"Yeah... when I saw Chen and Junmyeon's reactions, I freaked out and got less confident."
"That's the face they make when they're in shock of someone's talent.
"You should've said that BEFORE! I got so scared I was about to stop." He laughs.
"Sorry... I guess we didn't expect you to be that good because Chanyeol's not a great dancer."
"Why is my cousin lowering your standards of ME?"
"I don't know... sorry..." He looks down. I decided to prove everyone wrong and show them that I am 100% better than Chanyeol... if that's possible... confidence Juyeon! Confidence!
"It's fine... it's more of a challenge that way." I walk over to the table where everyone was talking about how great I was.
"와! 주연아 잘하네!" Suho gives me two thumbs up.
"고마워... I worked really hard on that yesterday."
"Encore, encore, encore." Chen starts chanting. Junmyeon joins... then Baekhyun... then Kai, Chanyeol, even Sehun cheered although quite nonchalantly. I decide to do a girl group song since I was more comfortable with them. I sing and dance a lot more comfortably than when I sang and danced "으르렁". The other were singing along, dancing, and clapping while I performed. After I performed, some of the others also sang and I got to hear some of the best songers sing LIVE in front of me. In the middle of the 3rd or 4th song, my parents call me. I leave the room and answer the call.
"Are you guys still at the karaoke room?" My mom asks.
"Yeah."
"Can you guys come home soon, I mean you should be having fun in Korea but we're gonna be here for a month, you can party another day."
"Aw... I'm not tired, I still have jetlag."
"Then you should sleep. Don't make Chanyeol stay out late because of your jetlag. Come back home by 1 okay?"
"US time?"
"No, we're in Korea... come back in an hour and if you don't you're gonna not be able to party for a while."
"Ughh... fineee..." I hang up and go back inside the room. "Chanyeol 오빠, we have to be back home by 1..." I say sadly.
"Who said, 고모 (your mom, his aunt)?"
"Uh-huh."
"That's okay... we only have 30 minutes left. Hurry, someone sing!" Baekhyun gets pushed out and he starts singing "Amusement Park" and then someone handed me a mic and so I just, without thinking, started harmonizing with him. At the end, everyone clapped and Baekhyun pulled me out of my seat and started playing "Candy." I danced and sang along and just played around. 30 minutes felt like 30 seconds when we were singing and dancing and soon the mics turned off and the music stopped.
"주연아, 가자." Chanyeol says.
"Nooo... I don't wannnaaa..." I whine as I'm dragged to the car.
"Bye Baekhyun, Junmyeon-hyung, Jongdae, Jongin, and Sehun. By the way, Juyeon is gonna come tomorrow so just letting you know." Chanyeol says stuffing me in the car. He talks to them a bit more after he closes the door and then waves to them and we leave.
"안녕!" I wave to them through my open window. We get back home 12:58 and my parents and Chanyeol's parents are talking. Juseop is sleeping. "다녀왔습니다." Chanyeol and I both say. "I wasn't late okay! It's 12:58." My mom just nods telling me to be quiet. Because we were both tired, we wash up and just go to sleep.
