Smiiiiiile!
Kerry: "We're so rock 'n' roll!" Jonny: *shows a bottle of water*
fiN fuN. "We took a trip to Thorpe Park a while back! On logger's leap!"
Flawless guitarist is flawless! Our Jonny talks about fiN music and his guitars during a session to Roland&Boss TV.
Four young Londoners that as a collective go by the name fiN. released their debut album Life is Wasted on the Living today, the 25th of March. Their tunes are abundant in catchy riffs and hard hitting lyrics, and lyricist and frontman Luke Joyce seems to have borrowed one of the few serious lines from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy when naming the album's title track, the chorus of which also includes the title. Add crunchy, crisp bass lines and sprinkle some quirky synths here and there and you have yourself an indie poprock bombshell of pure excellence.
They do everything themselves. Recording, mixing, merch, everything is done 100% by them, and they fully rely on their fans to pass on their music.
A band that's bursting with talent, these four men, Luke Joyce, Jonny Garner, Kerry Lambert and Simon Harding, have toured with the likes of Incubus and the Kooks, they performed with Rihanna at the 2012 BRIT Awards, and last year they opened a gig for Muse on only a few hours' notice after the act that was originally to play cancelled. Sources say they aced it, and it's not difficult to imagine that they did. They are well on their way to stardom.
