we all joke about hozier or florence welch being forest spirits etc but the one musician who it would genuinely not surprise me one bit if he was actually proven to be an otherwordly being is jónsi. go and listen to ylur and tell me to my face that the other members of sigur rós didn't just go into a forest in iceland and made a circle of stones at the foot of a crystal clear waterfall and started playing glósóli and he emerged from the trees like an angelic woodland being and they just took him back to reykjavík with them. and thats why he keeps fucking off to do sidequests and appearing on jimmy fallon dressed like an extra in a coachella themed yaelokre video

Drove a 6hr round trip, through a storm, home at 2am, to see Sigur Rós play in London tonight, and I would do it all again in the blink of an eye. Just what a mind blowing concert that was, I cannot even begon to explain the level of beauty and soul in that.

something about people needing other people to get through in life . something about the ones who is constantly helping others needing help sometimes too .

something about coming into some people’s life at the right time — like it’s some divine intervention , and doing what you need to do to help the person during this small surreptitious window you have been granted . and doing them anyway even though it’s minuscule , even though you don’t think you’d make a difference .

i’m still gathering my thoughts — still frazzled from it all heh .

ps : and of course jonsi and alex somers are behind the soundtrack .

besides that one scene at the very beginning that caught me so off guard the dam just broke , everything else was pretty much predictable — but that don’t mean i ain’t heaving with tears . 🫠 also , beautifully shot in japan , and just making full the scenery .
