When working on this abstraction, I used a gold color against a blue color background. I put the sun on the left, thinking of the beach where the sun rises. Working with abstractions is really fun.

Notan, black on white design work made with colored paper. Notan is a Japanese term which literally means "light dark harmony".

It is a work made by cutting and pasting square paper. It gives an interesting effect through the contrast of black and white paper.
