“Miss Joohyun,” you practically sprint after your friend and employee, the soon-to-be wife of the business mogul Beomjun Kim. “Whatever is the matter?”
Joohyun spins around, her brows furrowed and her lips pursed in a perfect display of discontent. In this moment, you’re struck with her ethereal beauty once more. Having worked with her for almost half your life, you’re rarely caught off-guard by it. But at this moment, she looks ready to strike you down, like the queen she is supposed to be.
“‘Whatever is the matter’, you ask? The matter is that I have no choice in my future. No chance at finding my own love!” Joohyun’s eyes flash. “And that, that pig is going to be my husband? He has no clue how to run his business, much less the combined efforts of both our families. And yet, my parents decided to have him be the one for me to marry?”
Your eyes widen at the blatant disrespect Joohyun has displayed, your eyes darting around to make sure no one else is within earshot. “Miss Joohyun! You know he’s already part of the board of your father’s company! You can’t say such things.”
Joohyun scoffs. “I’d much rather die than be with him for the rest of my life.” She stalks forward, reaching out to grab your hands. “(Y/N), you’ve got to understand me. You can’t possibly want me to be married to that thug either.”
Your mouth opens and closes as you stare at her. “I–” Joohyun blinks at you, the epitome of innocence although you both know that’s far from the truth. In the many years you and your family have served the Bae family, you’ve grown fond of the young woman who grew up alongside you. And she has found company in you as well. But her feelings surely do not match yours. “I’d rather you found someone you genuinely cared for, Miss Joohyun. But I cannot sway your parents’ decisions.”
Joohyun’s eyebrow raises. “I’m not asking you to. Lord knows their decisions will never change. But there is something we can do.” She leans in, her breath fanning over you and everything in you stiffens. “Run away with me.”
You blink once, twice. “What?” It comes out as a whisper, and Joohyun chuckles at the look on your face.
“Run away with me, (Y/N). Come on. Ever since we got older, we’ve hardly had time to spend with each other. I don’t want to marry Beomjun, and you can’t possibly want to work for my family for the rest of your life. It’s mutually beneficial.”
A frown pulls at the corner of your lips. “But I can’t possibly upend my life like that. My family would be devastated. I want to go with you, but I can’t bring myself to.”
Joohyun’s facial expression changes. Not to disappointment, or anger, but something else you can’t place. Something akin to a cat getting ready to pounce. “(Y/N),” she hums, leaning in just a tad more, and your breath catches in your throat. “Couldn’t you come with me, because I want you there?”
And before you can protest any more, Joohyun leans in and presses a soft kiss to your lips. Your eyes squeeze shut. It’s what you’ve dreamt of at night when no one is away but your shallow breaths as you sneak a hand down your pyjama pants. A daydream you find yourself in as you clean the kitchen, imagining her slender arms wrapping around your waist as she presses kisses below your ear.
Deep in your mind, you know she doesn’t love you, not in the way she’s promising. The daughter of a business mogul, Joohyun is an expert in manipulating feelings. But maybe you’re so far gone, that if she wants you to believe she loves you, you’ll let yourself fall.
“If you want me, you can have me,” you murmur, and Joohyun’s face brightens at your quiet defeat. The sight of it makes a warmth bloom in your gut and you let a smile grace your face although your brain is screaming for you to pull back.
Living in a lie is worth it as long as she looks at you. Even if it’s not the way you look at her.

Your dad ran one of the biggest modeling agencies in the entire world. Many men and women wanted to work under your father, working under him was a sign that you were truly on the top when it came to the modeling world. Every year he chose some famous celebrity to work alongside the other models as the face of the group. It was always a big deal for whoever got picked as they would have to attend some of the biggest fashion events in the world.
This year the company choose the leader of popular idol group Red Velvet, Bae Joohyun aka Irene Bae. Irene was known for her goddess-like looks, she looked like the definition of a princess. What stood out to you about her was not her angelic beauty but instead her quiet demeanor. She didn't talk much the entire time she was being signed with your father and every time you heard her voice you were pleasantly surprised. Never before had you ever wanted someone to talk to you so much before. You may have been the daughter of an outgoing and charismatic CEO but that didn't mean you were the same. In Fact, you had quite the opposite reputation going for you.
Like Irene, you were quiet and sometimes came off as cold. The difference was, you didn't have the goddess-like appeal she did. You were just,, you. As the meeting was coming to an end and people were taking pictures you quietly shuffled out of the room and into the hallway. Breathing a sigh of relief you quickly went to the fountain to get a nice cup of water. Being around so many people made you hot but being around Irene was unbearable. “She makes a perfect face of this company,” you thought to yourself as images of the strong leader flew in your mind.
“Excuse me,” a soft voice rang in your ears. Turning around you were met face to face with the beauty herself. She wore a soft smile that made her look very gentle, it looked like she was going to say something but you panicked and pushed past her, accidentally hitting her shoulder in the process.
“Sorry,” you mumbled as you quicken your pace and headed to the meeting room. A string of curse left your mouth as you realized just how bitchy you seemed to her. She genuinely looked like she had something to say to you but you pushed her away.
“Excuse me, Miss L/n,” Irene spoke to you catching you by surprise. You looked at her with a baffled expression, confused as to why she wanted to talk to you. “I think you misinterpreted me earlier. I wasn't trying to get some water, I actually wanted to talk to you,” she said before you could say anything.
“Oh-” you pushed some hair behind your ear “how may I help you?” Irene's face went from confident and happy to nervous in a matter of seconds.
“I uh don't have many friends outside of my members and I wanted to know if we could be friends. Can I have your number?” she asked while fiddling with the hem of her jacket.
You smiled happily and started to pull out your phone “I'd love that!’ you beamed. Irene stared at your expression in awe, you went from seeming nearly unapproachable to looking like the friendliest person in existence.
Weeks had passed since you and Irene had befriended one another and Irene realized that she couldn't have been more wrong about you. It really proved to her not to judge a book by its cover and it made her thankful to whatever strange force was compelling her to befriend you. You weren't this cold-hearted and stoic bitch like the rumors had told, instead, you were a little loud weirdo with a contagious laugh.
Today when you met up with her at your fathers company she decided that she’d do something she never imagined doing. Irene was going to ask you out, on an actual date. She didn't know what you were going to say or how you would react but she didn't care, she needed to get the feeling off of her chest already as it was unbearable.
“Hey Y/n! Before you say a thing I need to ask you something,” she said with a heavy sigh. Your face morphed from happy and bright to panic. Normally in these situations, people asked you “why do you hate me?” or “can I borrow some money” so you weren't expecting anything good to come out of her question.
“Go ahead,” you weakly repelled.
“I don't know if you feel the same way but Y/n I really like you and I would love it if we went on a date. Like couples date, not a friend date,” Irene clarified. Her fear was too strong and she couldn't look you in the eyes in fear of you laughing in her face. You squealed loudly and caught the attention of those around you. “Bae Joohyun I'd love to go on a real date with you,” you pulled her in for a tight hug. Irene smiled as she inhaled your scent.

bad girl! irene + female! reader
。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚ You saw her at Dohee’s party. Her chocolate brown eyes locked with yours, as new dawn started crawling up the Earth’s spine, the sunlight turned them into soft pools of honey and ethereal orbs of sunrise.
As she took your hand and spun you off the dance floor, different neon hues dancing across the room with a hazy yet ecstatic vibe. Her porcelain, lacy hands met your waist, dancing with you as David Bowie’s voice muffled from the speakers and people’s voice laying over him.
Beautiful monster; child of the moon
Tell me where to fly with you.
And now, you’re in her car. You sitting on her lap, arms lost in her shiny dark hair. Her hands gripping your hips, placing dark purple marks down your neck. You played with her choker, captivated by it. She laughs, pulling you closer into her warmth. “ You are the absolute cutest.” She said, placing petite kisses on your nose and cheeks.
Now, the summer air fills your lungs. Driving with her on her motorcycle, clinging to her tightly and delicately. Ravishing the beautiful moment.
Joohyun was made of beauty and battle cries, no one expected softness from here. She was thunder, she was like onyx armor, she reminded everyone of wasted dreams shattered against the floor, children losing their wings of innocence. She was a nightmare, devoid of any morality.
But the moment you met Joohyun, you saw her angelic softness. Your heart was a harp and she strummed the strings and played a song.
The rain played a song from outside that was muffled by the curtains and closed windows. Joohyun sat by your couch, her fishnet leggings showing patches of her skin, her red lipstick popping out.
“ Your parents will probably not like me over here.” Joohyun sighed, rubbing her knees together. “ Hm, why is that.” You playfully asked, sitting on her lap and taking a look at the women’s fashion magazine. “ You know the parents in the neighborhood, Y/N. They say I’m a bad influence, blah blah blah.” She said, holding your hips and steadying you. She was a saint, she really was. Her lovingness was, however, sculpted away from her “ bad girl “ exterior.
“ Ahhh...” You begin, leaning on her chest, feeling her delicate warmth, even if the hours were deep in midnight, it felt like the overwhelming yet tender moments of pure, ichor-colored sunshine. “ Adults these days, always ready to label young people who can’t properly hold the injustices of the world,” Joohyun muttered into your shoulder before giving it a quick kiss. “ Wow, you are poetic.” You say, flicking at her nose. “ And you are poetic beauty, a true goddess.” Joohyun pecks your nose, chuckling when a shade of soft red blooms into the skin of your cheek.
Anything Joohyun said would soak through your fragile skin and settle down to your milky, porcelain bones, but in a beautiful, heavenly way. Sometimes, you questioned if this was even reality or just another one of your heavenly daydreams.
Maybe you were just stuck in Heaven.
Joohyun pushes you down to the couch, laughing. Everything feels so strange, yet you were so happy. You swore you could see warm colors and bright sunset stars whenever you were this Joohyun. The moon had probably risen from the rain, shining into the sky and breaking away from darkness.
“ You precious little thing! “ Joohyun laughs as she places soft kisses down your face to your lips. Tenderly kissing her, you feel the warmth of the sun burn through your heart. Kissing Joohyun was more than just an event, it was a gift.
“ I love you so much.” You giggle at her forehead. “ I love you too, babygirl.” Joohyun says, placing another tender, honey-soft kiss to your forehead.
Gazing at the entrance of your bedroom, a devilish smirk paints itself on Joohyun’s pink lips. “ I say, why don’t we take this to somewhere more private.”
