God DAMN do I love this design. It's kind of like a mega evolution for Lephantis, retaining the general leg setup and wibbly heads on strings, but focusing the design to accentuate those features in a comprehensive way. First, though, I'd like to talk about the color. Like with the Juggernaut, Jordas is just the standard reds, blues and grays of the Infested, but everything has been darkened some to get across that this thing is important. The Juggernaut is gray and pink; Jordas is more gunmetal gray and red, befitting its size and importance. It both fits into the overall Infested color scheme and breaks it up enough to not be samey.
The other eye-catching part of Jordas's getup is the giant metal plates on its shoulders (shoulders? hips? Infested terminology is basically darts at an anatomy list) that it took from the ship it was created on. While mostly a gameplay element that forces players to get behind it to attack, the plates also integrate very well into the silhouette of the design. The Infested body underneath them would have a lot of the problems of Lephantis's awkward tripodal setup and amorphous body, but the plates give it shape, pointing the whole body in a direction and adding in overtones of alien beetle to boot.
And with that, we’re going to take a break from Warframe for a bit! Don’t worry, there are tons of designs there to dig into (Sentients, I’m looking at your arcane geometries) but I’ve decided to spread them out a little. Tune in next time for Dragon Age monsters. Yay, demons!
