Man, what is even going ON with this guy? These guys? Things? There's a lot. A tripodal, three-headed creature with an uncertain number of arms and not even the slightest semblance to a real life animal or plant is so much to take in that it kind of all gets lost in the visual noise. Thus, I'm going to review each of the heads individually, because they were pretty clearly designed that way.
THE GRINEER HEAD: Oh, yeah, did I mention each head is themed after one of the enemy factions in the game? Neat detail. Everything about this head just goes towards the purpose of flailing a giant scythe around, which is basically my life's goal. Its "face" is appropriately monstrous with its vaguely sangheili-like jaws, which are actually located above its proper face, which is locked in an eternal scream. Neat!
THE CORPUS HEAD: Like the original Corpus footsoldiers, this head is boxy and awkward next to the organic shapes of the Infested and Grineer heads. That could be intentional; the Corpus are a sort of tonal outlier in the setup of the world, and with such a disparate part, it calls attention to the way the Infested will absorb any and all that stand in their way. My favorite part of it is the little manta-ray face tentacles that open up when it shoots.
THE INFESTED HEAD: The Ultimate Snoot. The Shoot Snoot. I can really respect the way that this head's entire length is basically a rifle barrel for its awful spit attacks. You can even see "arms" fused into its sides for greater stability. There is a decent amount of thematic detailing here; the use of the Ancients' weird rib crown (which looks like a white Darkest Dungeon stress crown to me) mirrors the other elite Infested units to drive home the "one from each faction" theme.
Overall, Lephantis is hard to look at due to the blunt way all of the heads just kind of stick out of a generic chicken body. If they were arranged as some sort of hydra or on a directionless plant body, I think they would fit together better. However, I can't really ding the intelligence behind the design of each head, so despite the low ratings, I can't help but appreciate it.

PS: On the topic of bosses, I won't be reviewing Phorid because it's *literally* a big red Charger. Maybe once it gets its redesign Soon(TM).
