Simply Maria, or the American Dream (excerpts) - When she was a teen, Josefina López was greatly moved by a play she saw. Inspired to become a playwright, she wrote a play about a young Hispanic girl's struggle to find her own sense of self and freedom. The girl does this by challenging the traditional part of her heritage and traveling a road that helps her discover her own truth and direction. Lessons give steps to make up stories, write dialogue and teach how to develop characters in a play or story. Themes: Transformation, Freedom & Oppression and The Human Family.

Josephina Lopez, Founder/CEO of Casa 0101 is in studio with Mother Love to share her newest body of work, "Clean Start"  It is a comedy about a Beverly Hills Socialite who no one likes, looses her fortune and the only one willing to help her is her Maid. This play begins 01/23/15 - 02/15/15.

CASA 0101 Theater will kick off it’s 15th “Quinceañera” Anniversary Season with the World Premiere of a new comedy, CLEAN START,written by Kathy Fischer and Josefina López, to be presented at CASA 0101 Theater in Boyle Heights, CA, January 23 – February 15, 2015.
