I just realized that two leading actresses from Faerie Tale Theatre episodes have also played Potiphar's Wife in different adaptations of the Bible story of Joseph.

Lesley Ann Warren played the role in the 1995 Joseph miniseries, having previously played Princess Jeanetta in Faerie Tale Theatre's The Dancing Princesses.

And Joan Collins played the role in the 1999 film version of the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, having previously played the Stepmother and the Witch in Faerie Tale Theatre's Hansel and Gretel.

(Not that either of these white actresses should ideally have been cast as an Egyptian woman, but they had no trouble acting the part of the seductive villainess!)

I don't know if there's any point in noticing this or not, but it's an interesting coincidence.

why am i seemingly the only one obsessed with joseph's story like arrrrrgh i am ready to climb the walls i want a real fandom. i want people to say "oh but the technicolor dreamcoat musical is fire" and someone being mad because it's cringe. then someone replying that it's camp and sounds like a drag race rusical so it's actually good. i want people debating if prophet joseph tv series is boring or if we all are just stupid and cannot comprehend real cinematography with our tiktok attention span. i want people to write their joseph headcanons on tumblr and post outrageous fanfiction on ao3. i want the red tent stans who would be responsible for the entirety of of the fandom's wlw content. yet all i have is my imagination and i'm telling you it's NOT GOOD.
