Year 1978. The halls of Hogwarts were eerily quiet. Surprisingly, all the students seemed to be in their common rooms. Some asleep, some awake. Some studying for exams, some playing Wizard’s Chess. None of them paying attention to the strange cracking noises coming from outside. It wasn’t until the loud commotion of the doors being blasted open, the sound of the teachers hurriedly bustling about, that any of the students started to pay attention.
“Hogwarts is no longer safe.”
Who would make it out safe? Could anyone truly be trusted? The time had come to pick a side….

Watch Admin Penelope try and not to squeal because Avery is one lovely character and I would happily give you a cookie if you send in an app for him! Woops, I got carried away. Going back.. Regarding the alt FCs, how about Colton Haynes, Nico Tortorella.. or if you want that more angsty tall dark and handsome vibes, perhaps Shiloh Fernandez? <3
And for Avery’s prompts;
Forced to play the bad guy; Avery is known to be a closet neutral person. He doesn’t feel any pleasure nor discomfort with the recent attacks on muggleborns, but it wasn’t as though he had a say to it. His parents had expected of him to rally with the Dark Lord’s cause so the least he could do was to start pretending he was actually liking the torture sessions his friends do on some of the mudbloods in the castle. Write about the very first time Avery was tagged along his pal Mulciber as they corner the muggleborn Mary Macdonald. The other boy starts to inflict some pain by throwing her dark curses, and motioned for Avery to start doing the same. Could he bring himself to hurt someone who didn’t even do him any wrong? Afterwards, does he think it’d be his first and last time? Or does he find the activity better than he expected it to be?
Miles apart; Mulciber and Avery has always been so close to the point that it’s not a surprise to see one trailing behind the other wherever they might be. They were always a pair to the point of being mistaken as twins often. He would never admit it aloud, but the thought of him being missing in his life is something he can’t bear to think of. But, fate works in funny ways. He had no choice but to deal with his absence. Write about Avery being left behind as Mulciber was asked to leave the castle for a few weeks because of urgent issues at home. What was it like for Avery when his best pal left? Was he worried? Had he ever been without him before?
Riddikulus!; In one of Avery’s past Defense Against the Dark Arts classes, he was asked to deal with his boggart. Write about the time when he faced it for the first time. What did the form took shape into? Was his Riddikulus charm successful during his first try? Or did it take him countless times of attempts before the figure transformed into something rather hilarious?
