Joshifer Meme: Day Two

Day two asks for your favorite quote! So let me think...

 "Look, see? He's from Kentucky and he made it, I can do it too!"

Though that doesn't seem like much, that quote speaks massive volumes to me. It's almost like fate. Jennifer was able to convince her mother to take her to NY and continue auditioning...by showing her a picture of Josh. And later, they actually got to meet, and a beautiful relationship was formed. If that's not absolutely gorgeous and adorable then I don't know what is lol!

DAY SEVEN: What is your favourite Joshifer Fanart (it could be a edit, drawing etc). Post a link to the art and explain why you love it. (Joshifer meme)

Again, there are many, many, many, so I'll give you two.

First, this one by burlesonspride for the one year anniversary of her story You Can Always Come Home Again. I haven't read it yet (although I did read the outtakes already), but I got a sneak peek at the edit when she was making it, and come on. How is Josh looking that good fair? His Seventeen photoshoot image on a well-dressed man and Jen from her Vogue photoshoot? How does one survive that? And then add the angst that comes with Mel's writing. That's why I haven't read it yet. I need my heart.

And then, this one by loving-mellark/hobby-tribut. Technically, it's Everlark, but the likenesses are so spot on and they're just gorgeously drawn. And swooooooooon.

DAY SIX: What is your favourite Joshifer Fanfic? Provide a link to said fic and explain why this fic is your favourite. (Joshifer meme)

This always feels like a trick because there are simply too many to list. I'll give you a couple--one a classic and a newer one.

Tell Me You Know, by areyouserial: Pretty much every Joshifer fanfic reader knows this work, and they should. It's amazing. It's well-written, heartfelt, and hilarious. It was one of the stories I read before I joined tumblr, and I was traumatized like many others when it was deleted. Thankfully, Casey brought it back. I remember leaving some feedback on some of the early chapters within the first few months of joining tumblr, and Casey's responses were genuinely wonderful. Josh needs to do a little growing up in this story, and Jen has to make a hard choice to let him rather than accept a relationship that isn't quite what she wants. Because of that, the story and the lessons in it are stirring and incredibly powerful. Settling for something good isn't as healthy as refusing to settle for less than one deserves.

Gone, by pachipachiko: This story is haunting. I read the first part this summer when I was back home visiting family and then forced myself to wait until just a few weeks ago to read part two so I could savor it. Part three should be coming eventually, and I'm more than excited to know what the resolution is to the story. The pain, the guilt, the tension... It's all there, and it's all wonderful.

Again, there are so many others to read, and I'm hoping to get to some of that soon, particularly full length stories by burlesonspride and jamiesommers23.

DAY FIVE: What is your favourite Joshifer interview/moment from the press tour for Catching Fire? (Once again, you can post gifs/screencaps/video links for this one) (joshifer meme)

There is something endearing about Josh's blush when he talks about falling in love with his co-stars and Jen's teasing when she realizes he's a little embarrassed. They talk about allowing love to guide them, and then the "We have such a healthy relationship" line is the kicker. These two are adorable together, no matter what kind of love they have.

DAY FOUR: Post your top 5 favourite Joshifer pictures from any red carpet events. (Joshifer meme)

#1: Catching Fire, Madrid. Technically this isn't a picture of them together, but this is one of my favorite pictures of Josh and he's standing in front of Jen's character, so I'm saying it counts. His Madrid look was my favorite of the Catching Fire premieres.

#2: Catching Fire World Premiere, London. Their closeness is evident in this picture. He's got his girl, and she's totally okay with that.

#3: Catching Fire, Rome. The interplay between Josh and Jen was off the charts in Rome. They both look amazingly happy in this picture.

#4: Hunger Games premiere, London. Jen looks so young and fresh-faced and carefree, and Josh's smolder is intense.

#5: Catching Fire, Paris. I mean, come on. Eyes up, Joshy.

There's something about this interview that makes me love these two together. She's so complimentary of him, and he's so frazzled but so humbly confident at the same time. Also, I have a thing for smart guys.
