12. Do you need to finish a book before you can move on to the next one, or will you have multiple books going at once?

I usually try to finish one book before moving on, but if I need a quick comfort read then I’m fine stopping in the middle and returning after reading something else

14. What is your favourite children’s book?

oh I read SO much as a kid but my probably all-time favorite is Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke, but I also read the Guardians of Ga’Hoole series (by Kathryn Lasky) obsessively

22. Most Annoying Person

I guess this means character? ^^ the way this question is worded makes it sounds like I'm supposed to name the most annoying person I know irl. :P

My first thought was Jin Guangshan but he isn't so much annoying as actively infuriating. So I'll go with everyone's favourite gossip queen Sect leader Yao

46. Favourite Fanfic / A Fanfic You Want To Recommend

Why do all of you ask about fic. It's so hard to choose! 😭 I cannot choose a favourite, so I'll go with one I've recently enjoyed and that I think deserves more love.

Authors summary: No one asks why the unmarried Second Young Lord Lan is having a marriage bed built. — Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian do their best to live happily ever after.

I enjoyed this one for many reasons. 1. An excellent inner voice for lan zhan. 2. Wangxian are together and generally happy, but they still have to actively work and communicate to lead the life they both want. 3. A stark but empathetic portrayal of wei wuxian's lingering trauma (warning for alcohol abuse here). 4. Same for Lan Zhan's complicated relationship with his uncle and brother. 5. The latter one is incredibly present even though he doesn't appear once in the fic. 6. Lan Zhan + closed doors symbolism (which I'm always a sucker for)

okay random question: best/worst movie adaptations of books?

Best: 

Stardust, the book was boring and the movie was hysterical and vivid 

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before stays true to the message and aesthetic of the book (applies to the first) 

The Princess Bride transitioned beautifully from page to screen (I believe the author write the screen play) 

Howl’s Moving Castle was very different but man, both are so memorable you can’t love one without the other 

Wicked the musical is completely different but the musical spoke to me in ways the book didn’t as a child

Lightning Thief Musical is captures the heart and soul of the books and will always be one of my favorite musicals 

I think The Thief Lord was really good, I liked both the movie and the book as a kid

The Martian was pretty good too

Worst: 

Ella Enchanted is a disgrace and out of context would be fun and harmless but compared to the book, a disgrace to the book 

Fairy Hollow books, which I refuse to watch the movies but just the aesthetic of the books is far superior to the terrible animation of the new Tinker Bell movies 

The Lightning Thief movie *shudders* 

I was never the biggest Divergent fan but the movies were so confusing, I literally couldn’t tell half the characters apart, that’s just bad storytelling 

Beautiful Creatures, oh my god, the trailer alone was enough to make me want to throw something 

i’m totally missing a lot for both lists but these are what first came to mind.

Ahahaha yeah, I pressed play on episode 1 yesterday, saw Wei Ying looking very distressed at the edge of the cliff and heard that voice praising Jiang Cheng’s contribution to his death, and my mind was like “my emotions can’t do this right now, maybe some other time”

Ava is terrified of losing her brother. She’s also scared of heights.

Aishlynn is terrified of failure/not being good enough. And she’s not a big fan of spiders, but she’d never admit to being scared of them.
