Back in August, @wildlingoftarth prompted me to write some angst with confessions and since @theunpaidcritic and I had been talking about how there are not enough reporters JB fic out there, I wrote some war correspondents in response. This is a continuation of that verse.

As I said before, I really admire war and conflict correspondents, so I hope I don’t make light of the harrowing situations they put themselves through in order to do their jobs well.

Modern journalists AU

William Lamb is a famous journalist. He writes investigations on the topics which always disturbs the public. And it's kinda dangerous. William's work is hard. Because of it he lost his family: his wife and little son were killed by unknowns. Police didn't find killers and his own investigation turned out to be confusing so he still tries to sort out in this, cherishing hope to find the killer of his family. Gloomy and unsotiable, Lamb never took pupils althrough a lot of people wanted to learn from him. 

Never. Until Victoria Hannover came into editorial. Little and glib girl who barely graduated from the University dreamed about being journalist. And for the most part in order to annoy her mother. They had kinda tense relations after Victoria's father death. 

She immediatly stated the she wanna work with Lamb, and she was so persistent that chief editor desided to send her to William to handle this personally. He also couldn't get rid of her so he desided to gave her an impossible task to get her to give up. But could somebody knew that Victoria'll prove to be so tenacious that she got in great troubles? And there's won't be anybody to get her out from it expect William.

Journalists AU

Jon is a burned-out journalist who has been torn apart everywhere after he published torture cases during illegal black-ops and his source backtracked. He works now in a second-rate newspaper without much interest in his work. There he meets an eager Daenerys who cames to him with some theories of a huge corruption case within the government.

WiP Wednesday

It is that time of the week where I try my best to convince y'all I'm actually writing. Is it working?

I've got a few things in the works, but one thing that I'll hopefully be posting soon is a WinterFalcon Journalists AU I had a crazy idea for. The story will be taking place from the POV of Bucky and Sam's poor intern, Peter Parker, as they two rival journalists try to out scoop one another. I'm aiming for crackfic. We'll see how that will go.

Sneak Peek:

Sam Wilson and James “Bucky” Barnes are The Daily’s two best investigative reporters. If there is a story to be broken, one of them is going to break it. And attempt to break each other trying to out scoop the other. Their rivalry is legendary in the journalism world, dating back a super long time, 10 years ago, when Mr. Barnes was a fresh face over at the Times and Mr. Wilson was the up and comer for the Globe.

According to Mr. Barton, everyone thought Mr. Fury was insane for hiring the both of them to The Daily three years ago. But no one has ever accused him of not having any guts, or that’s what Mr. Barton always says. Peter would never accuse Mr. Fury of anything cause Mr. Fury is terrifying.

With the two hottest names writing for them, The Daily became the place for news. Especially after the election of Alexander Pierce turned the government on its ear in, like, the worst way possible when Peter would hear his Aunt May talk about it. Every week, it seemed like there was some kind of crazy headline that was straight out of a movie or something.

I'm hoping to get it done and posted before the holidays are in full swing. There will be some minor art to go with it (I hope).
