“Joy Rides” by MUTEMATH So I totally missed the release of this album last year, but DAMN was I pleasantly surprised when I finally got around to listening to it. Vitals is pretty much gold all the way through, and what a great way to kick things off.

Off the top of my head, there are two impending album releases for this month that I’m wildly excited about. One is Grimes’ Art Angels, and the other is Mutemath’s Vitals. The New Orleans indie rock and psych soul crew delivered first single Monument a few months ago, and I still think it’s one of the most brilliant songs this year. Mutemath has been revealing some colorful plumage and effulgent dexterity with the songs they’ve unleashed off Vitals since. Today’s big drop is a dazzling electro rock and indie electro jam named Joy Rides. I eagerly hop on for a flight to euphoric heaven on the funky burst of animated energy. If you missed last two album reveals, Remain and Used To, like me, since I was travelling, check the more subdued and entrancing tracks out below.
