🧠 dahmer brain dispute:
following jeff’s violent death in 1994, joyce sought to understand the reasons behind her son’s violent acts, and had requested scientific examination of dahmer’s brain, in hopes of uncovering if biological factors played a role her sons crimes.
on the other hand, lionel yearned for resolution and closure on the matter, and wished for his sons brain to be cremated with the remainder of his son’s ashes, honouring jeff’s wishes.
on december 13, 1995, judge daniel george, ordered dahmer’s brain to be cremated after an hour-long hearing.
