jpegurl: tbf this is pretty heartwrenching without context too

well that’s good to hear, sorta hard to tell how much I’m getting carried around by Plot Information sometimes

it’s a pity FFXIV is an MMO (and narratively a kind’ve clunky one at that, I love it and it’s plot, and it deserves the praise it’s gotten but there is a lot of wind up and filler, especially in earlier expacs) and as a result a lot of people, very understandably, avoid it on principle, hohoho

A whole bouquet!  Here’s 3 facts:

My favorite panorama in the game is the one you can find deeper in the TV maze!  Surprisingly, I drew it all with a mouse. 

This NPC was originally going to be killable, but I didn’t program it right.  

@cachicordova found it as a bug, but was like “No keep the squish immortal” and I agreed, so now he’s the immortal squish. :0c

Here’s my favorite character in the game (small spoiler since he’s hard to find):

The character in the warlock room, Valerius!  He’s a Dn’D OC I came up with for a campaign, but never used since the campaigns never took off (oh well).  Design wise, he’s a rip off of another OC of mine if he looks familiar.

He has the most dialogue in the game since I just like writing my characters and was like “welp my yume game my city now”.  It’s also why he has the most detailed panorama in the game as well.  He’s one of the few characters in game with a concrete backstory for now:

PUT MORE INTERACTIVITY IN YOUR GAMES YOU COWARDS

Look I can open these cabinets in numbers world: 

I can get a ghost hat in forest world:

There’s a miniboss I can “fight” down in NES World, there’s vending machines I can buy useless soda from, there’s bathrooms I can walk into, there’s funny animations from the mall NPCs when I talk to them... that’s some of the fun stuff that helps each world stand out from each other!  Don’t forget to make the world you’re roaming around in feel like something you can interact with as well as explore!
