Today's reading.... Acceptance ... There is a moving incident from the life of Lokmanya Tilak, which bears witness to Shree Krishna’s teaching. In 1902, the city of Pune was ravaged by plague. Hundreds of hapless victims lost their lives and every family was afflicted with bereavement. Tilak’s family was no exception. He lost his young son Vishwanath and two of his dear nephews all within a week. A close friend came to offer his condolences to Tilak. “This is indeed too much,” he said to the great philosopher and thinker, “to lose three young men at one go is too much for anyone to bear!” “But it is the will of God and we must accept it,” said the brahmagyani, Lokmanya Tilak. “It seems that the Lord of Death is lighting a holy fire to which every family has to contribute its share of chharu (cow dung cakes). How could we fail to give our share?” Accept the weather just the way it is, without commenting that it is too hot or too cold. Accept an event that occurred in a way you did not expect. ~ J P Vaswani #ad #ameedarji #PositiveChange #TodaysReading #Reading #JPVaswani #Happiness #Positivity #Peace #Learning #Attitude #Pune #Approach #Understanding #Tilak #LokmanyaTilak #Acceptance #ExpecttheUnexpected #BhagwadGeeta #શ્રીકૃષ્ણ #ShreeKrishna #LordKrishna #Intellect #HardWork #Honesty (at Ahmedabad, India)
