(4) Coffee Shop AU + (U) Bedsharing

So for this I’m going with Jrel (Jim/Krel)

Jim runs a small coffee shop in Arcadia, the Caffeine Eclipse (this name made more sense in my head, but I’m rolling with it anyway). He buys the coffee beans locally from an unusual seller named Glug, who’s renown for being the best in the business if a bit peculiar (and/or trollish). All his shops pastries, etc are based on his homemade recipes.

Krel is an upcoming, new dj hotshot; DJ Kleb. He’s passed through Arcadia before while traveling from gig to gig and has stopped in at Jim’s coffee shop a couple times (so they’re acquaintanted).

Both of them kind of have a thing for the other, but neither has mentioned anything.

Krel thinks a successful business owner like Jim will look down on him for not settling for a nice, steady job.

Jim thinks he’s too dull/uninteresting as a coffee shop owner to catch the well-traveled, adventurous Krel’s eye.

Anywho, it comes to pass that Krel’s tour bus breaks down in Arcadia and they’ll have to stay overnight. He would have stayed in a hotel, but a fan caught sight of him and posted his location to social media so now there’s a giant crowd staked out at the hotel waiting to swarm him for photos and autographs.

Krel hides out (in disguise - sunglasses and a trench coat complete with fake mustache) at the coffee shop until closing, when Jim asks him to leave. Then, Krel reveals the situation to Jim. Jim offers to let Krel stay the night in his apartment above the coffee shop, where no one knows he’ll be.

The only problem is, due to the small size of Jim’s apartment, the only piece of furniture he has that can be slept on is his bed.

After a brief argument where both say they’ll sleep on the floor, Jim and Krel end up deciding to share the bed. Each takes a side and they try to sleep for the night.

They wake up after accidentally cuddling together in the middle. They laugh it off and try to sleep separately again, but the same thing happens a second time.

Both try to brush it off and pretend they don’t like being with the other, but, eventually, Jim gets stressed out and blurts that he like likes Krel. They have a Moment where they finally decide they want to try dating—after a night sharing the only bed.

A: I love it

A ship I would definitely make content for if I could squeeze it in with everything else I’m doing right now.  I haven’t played around with it at all yet, but I likely will if given the chance.

(if someone sends me in an ask with it and a sentence, I could add it to the ask meme of ‘give me a ship and a sentence and I’ll write the next 5′ that I’m finally going to be doing.  Tho, it’ll have to be the last one done since the others have been waiting a couple days at this point.  But, that would be a good way for me to make something for it if you want to see content for it in my style).
