What if, instead Syd was more like a Valjean type character?
Aight, aight so wait, okay new plan
So Syd is a young single father looking for work and stumbles across the princess who is around the same age as her son and ends up befriending him
now Syd is highly aware is son is currently playing with the royal heir and is internally panicking but his son is having fun and the princess looks happy
Long story short Syd is adopted as unofficial uncle by Queen Risha, princess and son grow to call each other cousins then the attack happen
Queen stays behind to help the guards while Syd runs with the kids. Unfortunately he's captured however he manages to fight them off long enough for the king to hurry away with the children at his insistence
So the king ain't too happy about his big bro being kept prisoner but the mans a healer, not a sword or spear wielder! He hates it but for now the kids and him will have to hide out....and end up adopted by a dragon cause why not, and its my story
So Dragon turns out used to look after Syds kid when he was doing odd jobs and godmama dragon is not pleased and goes off to fite the krisnicks and thats all I have for now
