THEY NEED TO STOP GETTING INTO SITUATIONS LIKE THESE. first, richard attempts arrest or tries to get him talking, next they’re both running away helping each other from rival gangs wanting to get a piece of the action before the cops do. this time they would have made it out easily except for when they both heard, and saw, one of the main rival members appearing at the exit. thinking fast, the duo ducked through a door close to them hoping no one saw them.
it just so happened that room was no bigger than a broom cupboard with hardly any light.
shove over will ye? oh do be quiet otherwise yer gob will get us both caught. apparently even in almost deadly situations the two couldn’t stop bickering. it’s just as jack tries to shift into a more comfortable position when he feels warm, soft lips briefly touch his own. his body freezes, breath hitches, but before either of them could say anything jack’s hands are clasped over richard’s mouth as men walk past the door.
