Maybe it’s just me but I find it a little off-pudding that (at least in what I have experienced) world history classes do not teach anything about Israel or Judaism.
I have lessons coming up about Christianity and the spread of Islam and even Buddhism too. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s totally cool to be exploring these as they were super important to societal development, however I just think it would be nice to see a little of the Jewish people peppered in there.
Is Jewish history really so reliant on biblical stories that historians almost discredit it as a whole and try to piece together around it? Or is there just something I’m missing entirely about it all?
