Today was all about the Jujitsu Complex. The Jujitsu complex as described before is a standing exercise with the barbell, either empty or loaded. The idea is not to put the bar down, and do as many different exercises with the bar as you can with 3 to 6 reps per set per exercise.
Starting with the bar on the floor ...
Do dead lifts
Back curls
Jerks
Cleans
Front Squats
Standing Military Presses
Back of Neck Presses
Split Back Squats .. each side
Back Squats
and then reverse the process.
If you can do can do 6 reps in this set, then add weight to the bar, and do it again.
The objective is to move your body into an anaerobic state. This is what burns fat. Every muscle in your body has to work to balance you and move the weight.
While you may easily move 45 to 65 lbs in a squat, you won’t be able to press it. Thus in this complex, your legs get hit with 19 different movements, and will be exhausted after you complete 6 sets.
