(Song is intended to be heard as a loop) I think something I really want music wise from Woolhaven is a track that evokes these same feelings somewhere… maybe in the main Woolhaven hub.
AND I KNOW WHAT YOU'LL SAY:
"HEY MARCO, SINCE WHEN WERE YOU A SMOKER?!"
@fullmusicbard migranes amiright

also here’s my ultimate villains playlist as well for those that missed it before, my other passion
Chips of Plutonium are Twinkling in Every Lung
I want to highlight a song that was very special and impactful to me when I was a teen. (I still think it is! I just remember the first time the emotions really hit me)
If you want to do me a favor, for the purpose of this post, please to the best of your ability listen to this song without the music video and just focus on listening to it the whole way through. I'd love you to form a personal interpretation before reading the rest of this!
I present: Breathing by Kate Bush
God.
There just one day came a moment where I was listening to this, and it clicks that I can appreciate all the different parts that make it up, appreciating the transition to the bridge and the final chorus and asking myself: how could something so beautiful to listen to be about something so distressing and terrifying? (Nuclear armageddon- specifically as if it's from the point of view of a fetus aware of the fallout. Let me add context that this song was written during the Cold War.)
The final quarter of the song has always felt to me like the chorus can represent both the nerve signals of the narrator's body and the despair of humanity crying out as breathing safe air becomes impossible. I just sat there overcome by the power the vocals blasted at me. The amazement and admiration of an artist turning the struggle of a dying body trying to breathe into lyrics and song.
