Do you ever just think about in episode 24 when Juldarami finds Geumsaegi standing alone in an open field, and Geumsaegi simply smiles and calmly starts talking about if he will be killed after the meeting later?
Like sure, he says he guessed it from Juldarami’s face, but the way he was out there suggested that he already knew.
i ALWAYS think about that scene, fuckkk it like illustrates both of their characters so well and kind of shows how the war has like affected them both. geumsaegi is very logical, methodical. juldarami knew exactly where he was, and geumsaegi, though he might of already known they were planning to execute him, was still able to read juldarami's emotions and figure out what he was trying to tell him.
geumsaegi thought of an outcome and already has it all planned out. juldarami on the other hand is freaking out, begging him to run away. theres other scenes like that too, such as geumsaegi fighting off the weasels in jewel necklace while juldarami sobbed in the helicopter he had to fly away. or other times juldarami's reacted to character's deaths, he might even considering abandoning the mission for his friends if it pertains to it.. and i think this scene shows those sides of them. geumsaegi calms him down, telling him that they're so close to their goal, that he can't just abandon the mission now. they nuzzle eachothers faces, and it pans up to the sun....arms on eachothers backs, man, they really are perfect for eachother.
