Christmas gnomes are more popular in Scandinavia than Christmas elves and even regular gnomes, so sometimes people will have gnomes replace elves in Santa’s shop to make it more region specific.

But in folklore gnomes were always proud to do housekeeping. They repaired stuff, swept the floor, fed the animals and kept the home safe. If people didn’t respect them they’d take revenge, or worse, take their services somewhere else.

So I prefer to imagine the elves do all the toy producing, from design to carving to assembling to painting to sewing to packaging, while the gnomes keep the shop up and running, inventing and repairing the machines the elves use, cooking the meals for their breaks, cleaning and looking after the reindeer.

French & Norwegian Language Merch!

I mentioned I had a surprise comin, and here it is! I’ve had some people message me asking if I would ever make any shirts, bags etc. I realized that there was not that much Norwegian language shirts out there. So I decided to make some!

I’m selling on redbubble, meaning I make the design and they print & ship for me. So the designs are available on shirts, stickers, tote bags and more! I’ve not released all my designs so stay on the look out for more! (Or suggest some designs/phrases you would like to have!)

Please do not think I’m doing this to profit off of you, I actually have the margins set very low for how much I make, most of the money goes to the website for printing and shipping. I get a low percent ($3 for the basic T-shirt for example). I did not want to raise my percentage because I wanted you all to be able to afford it if you are interested in it!

I just wanted to make sure it was clear I was not trying to scam you all or anything, I’m not really making anything off of this. I just really like the idea of selling my designs 😊

(Also thank you to the people who volunteered to be a focus group of sorts for this! I appreciated your feedback and am working on adding the things you suggested!)
