They’re both homebodies at heart. They both love animals, even if Sofia is a little more natural with them. Their willingness to try and understand things from another point of view – and wavering success in that area.

Her free spirit, wild heart & nurturing way. Juliet can sometimes appear selfish but Sofia feels that is more a front than a truth. No one chooses a career in nursing or in education if they don’t have a portion of their heart filled with altruism. Even if it doesn’t beat, even if they can’t always see eye to eye, Sofia knows Juliet’s intent is always pure (when it comes to her).

Who do you find most attractive in Sumner?

There was a woman I saw, from a distance, one evening outside of the nursery located on Pratchett and Main. It was practically night, so I don’t know how, but when she turned to look at me… mouth pursed and flush, eyes the color of forest moss.. it was like she’d caught the sunset in between the strands of her hair. 

I don’t know if she was real or not, but seeing as how this a fucking town of Otherfolk and their kin, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was some sort of incantation brought to life.

35. Did you have a dream last night?

No. I rarely dream. If I do, I do not remember them.

47. Do you replay things that have happened in your head?

Only the things I wish I could have changed. I replay them in my head to know how things could have gone differently. What I could have done to have a better end, but I do not dwell on the past for long.

“That was… an inspiring lecture.” - Erastos lied about his interest in a lecture offered by Otto. He found it dull and a waste of time.

“Pixies, I find… can be very grating on the nerves.” - A partial truth but his lie is in the intent. A conversation with Ephram about the carnival. Erastos wants to know if Ephram could offer any insight into killing a pixie as Erastos has difficulties catching one.

“I could offer you my coat…” - His lie is in the intent. He presents himself pleasantly and politely but he is aware that she is a vampire and is already trying to find a weakness he could exploit. A conversation with Juliet at a cafe.
