I have resisted the urge to feed her or to make her in any way dependent upon me. But I do talk to her, I can’t help myself. I’ve discovered that talking is a very basic human need. Why Isis listens, I don’t know. But she does. Of that I’m certain.

A snowstorm hits Julius McQuade by surprise while he is outside. Isis the wolf saves his life by bringing his heavy coat to him.
