Hi!! I just crushed your fic on ao3 (I’m 13teacups 😅) and I was just wondering what would be something that makes MC envious? We’ve seen a bit of what jealously looks like on Quinn, but what about MC?

I’m sure they have a lot of big feelings, but what’s something that would make them truly feel deranged?

Oh my gosh hi!!! Thank you so much for all of your lovely and thoughtful comments, I'm so excited to reply to them!

MC would swear up and down that they aren't a jealous person BUT seeing Quinn (or any significant other/crush) engaging in like, every day little intimacies with someone else? Having inside jokes that MC doesn't get? Watching casual, comfortable touches, hands on thighs, and forehead kisses? MC is suddenly stewing in feelings. It's such an unfamiliar sensation for them that they take a second to work out that it's jealousy, and then they'd spiral a little, because they're Cool, they're Chill, and they Don't Do Jealousy. They would also get super jealous if any of their past sexual partners ever said that their new partner was a better lover than MC, but that would be like, competitive, angry jealousy lmao, not the mopey stuff of above.

And thank you so much! I think I got into writing because I ran out of things to read with the tropes and conventions I like, so I decided to just start writing for myself. Literally everything I write is disgustingly self-indulgent so I'm so glad that other people like it too!

maybe it's morbid curiosity but every now and then i just scroll through blogs of people I used to know and it just makes me feel some kinda way. I don't really know how to put it to words it's part "phew glad I dodged that bullet" part schadenfreude (because surprise they're all doing shitty it seems) part kind of missing these people? but ultimately I'm so much better off being unburdened by the constant toxicity of that group that kept me weighed down and unable to get myself together. because being happy and organized isn't what they wanted, misery loving company and all that jazz. i guess it's just like, as i leave my house that I just finished painting surrounded in hibiscus flowers, asian lilies, and morning glories to the tune of late night birds chirping at the firflies dancing in my back yard with my fiancee by my side I'm realizing that losing those people hurt at the time but it was a necessary sacrifice so I could fucking grow.
