very interesting that ḥad gadya puts the quantity before the noun as is standard for other numbers while the time capsule nature of most other aramaic texts we’ve got (aka the lack of continuous ongoing linguistic development) and similarly with modern hebrew basically skipping a couple millennia of the same means that a quantity of one is still indicated through an adjective rather than a true quantifier. i’m not a linguistics expert so idk if this is actually a ḥiddush or more likely not but i think it’s cool

if u get stuck in a time loop do you still get shabbos every seven iterations or only if the original happened to coincide with it? obviously you won’t have rosh ḥodesh or chagim because those rely on the moon sightings (or rather, the calculations already made) but like. should you refrain from work every seven iterations even though the rest of the world thinks it’s a weekday? would you daven the shabbat tefillot on those iterations or the weekday ones? what if you meet a friend you haven’t seen in a while before the start of the loop, do you say the bracha every time even though from your perspective it feels like it’s been only a day? and same with the sea, new fruits, etc. what if you bought new clothing right before the loop, can you make a bracha on wearing it only the first subjective time or does it count as new clothing again every loop?
