One of the reasons I find it easier to write AUs than canonverse stuff is because I'm less emotionally invested. Sure, stamina-wise, my AU ideas tend to be longer and that's why I never post them, but it's easier for me to write them without SCREAMING BECAUSE OH MY GOD THEY'RE GETTING MARRIEEEEEDDD
But they're also more creatively challenging too
