98.“Tell me what you want.”

“What are we?” Saeran’s question caught Jumin off guard. He glanced over to where Saeran was sitting on the counter in his kitchen. If it was anyone else it would bother him, but with Saeran, he found it okay.

“I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking.” Jumin said, walking over to stand between Saeran’s legs.

“I mean...” Saeran trailed off, frowning slightly. “There’s obviously something between us, but what exactly is it? What do you want from me?”

“At the moment, I don’t think I should answer that.” Jumin said frowning. He had been thinking about this exact thing recently, but his thought had led him somewhere that he quite frankly didn’t want to go.

This clearly wasn’t a good enough answer for Saeran.

“It’s not that hard!” Saeran spat out, but then continued quietly. “Just tell me what you want.”

“I want you. I want you so badly, i want to hide you away from the world so that only I can see your smiles, so that I’m the only one that gets to indulge in your laughs.” Jumin ducked his head, unable to look at Saeran. “But that isn’t fair for you. It’s not right.”

Jumin looked Saeran in the eye, and the intensity made him catch his breath.

“I love you too much to do that to you.”

“Is it bad that I’m not finding an issue with that?” Saeran asked shyly.

“Don’t tempt me like that.” Jumin groaned, causing Saeran to laugh.

“I want you too.” Saeran said softly, reaching up to cup Jumin’s face between his hands. “I know that your head gets fucked up sometimes, but so does mine. We can talk each other through it.”

“I was afraid I would scare you off.” Jumin said softy, leaning into Saeran’s palm. “You just received your freedom, and then here I am.”

“Whatever you could do to me would be nowhere near as bad as what she did.” Saeran said, tone becoming serious. He then smiled softly. “You and I? We’ll work things out. No matter what.”

Jumin smiled in return, leaning forward to press his lips to Saeran’s. He felt Saeran smile into their kiss, and in that moment, nothing was tangled.

30. “I never knew you were a romantic at heart”

Both Saeran and Jumin were rather poor in handling their emotions. Considering how they had both grown up, the fact that their relationship was going as well as it was was a wonder to the both of them.

Saeran had returned home, having closed up at the store he and Saeyoung had started together. (Jumin didn’t understand their business sense. A combo toy store/flower shop didn’t make sense, but it was striving somehow.)

To his surprise, he walked in to the smell of cooking food. Ever since Saeran had moved in, he’d taken over cooking the meals. It made him happy to be able to cook for Jumin, especially since the man couldn’t cook for himself. 

He walked into the small dining room Jumin had, to find the table set up with a tablecloth set up with candles and everything. The only thing missing was the food, and Jumin himself.

Saeran walked into the kitchen, finding Jumin stirring something over the stove.

“Jumin?” Saeran called out to him, and he jumped. Jumin turned back to him, surprise flashing across his face for a second.

“I didn’t think you’d be home yet.” Jumin said, clearly caught off guard. Saeran looked over him, smirking slightly and walked over to him, tugging lightly on the string of the apron Jumin had on.

“Cute.” Saeran said softly, looking up at Jumin. 

“I wanted to surprise you.” Jumin mumbled.

“I never knew you were a romantic at heart” Saeran teased him.

“I want to try.” Jumin said, pressing a kiss to Saeran’s forehead. “For you.”

Saeran laughed, pulling Jumin down to kiss him softly. 

“I love it.”

Jumin takes Saeran to show his penthouse garden?

It surprised Jumin that he hadn’t thought of it earlier. He heard off hand that Saeran was interested in gardening, and he was almost embarrassed that he  hadn’t made the connection.

Saeran had mentioned something about picking up some fresh fruit, and while Jumin would normally have his staff do the shopping for things like that, Saeran took it unto himself. It wasn’t until he mentioned the fruit that it clicked.

“You don’t need to go out for that.” Jumin said suddenly, causing Saeran to look up from the shopping list he was compiling. 

“What?” Jumin found his look of confusion adorable, but he stood, holding his hand out towards Saeran. 

“Come here.” Saeran nodded, standing up to follow him. As they made their way through the penthouse, Jumin mused slightly. “I can’t believe I haven’t shown you this before.”

“Shown me what?”

“This.” Jumin said, pulling open the door to the garden. Saeran walked in quietly, eyes scanning over the beds of flowers and fruit plants.

“When did you get a garden?” Saeran asked, suddenly turning towards Jumin. There was a joy in his eyes that was infectious. Jumin walked over to him, pulling him into a hug. 

“It’s been here. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before. It’s normally taken care of by the gardeners.” Jumin murmured, unable to prevent his own smile.

“Can I take care of it?” There was no way that Jumin could turn him down, not with the amount of excited joy in his question.

“If you would like to.” Jumin agreed, and to his surprise, Saeran suddenly pressed a kiss to his lips before pulling back.

“Thank you.” He said with an excited grin, and then left Jumin’s hug to examine the rest of the garden.

Jumin couldn’t prevent touching his lips with his fingers. Saeran rarely initiated anything, and if this was the reaction he had to a garden, Jumin was going to give his love the entire world.

When Jumin found out that Saeran had an interest in gardening, he was excited. He had taken Saeran by the hand, pulling him in the direction of the roof top garden.

"Come. I have something to show you." Saeran went willingly, the subtle excitement Jumin had was endearing.

When Jumin pulled open the door and Saeran wandered out, his eyes grew large.

"You have... a garden? Up here?" Jumin nodded.

"There's normally a gardener, but you can do whatever you want here." Jumin said. Saeran bit his lip.

"Are you sure?" He was very clearly nervous.

"This is your garden, Saeran." Jumin said. Saeran's face lit up with joy as he looked around, and Jumin felt proud of himself.

The garden idea had gone great, until Jumin came home one day to find Saeran sitting in front of the bed of daffodils, staring at them intently. Jumin went over and sat next to him, offering his company and giving Saeran the chance to speak.

"Rika taught me to take care of flowers." Saeran said suddenly, and Jumin raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"She did?"

"Mmhm. When I was little, I spent a lot of time at the cathedral that Rika and V went to. I wanted to make beautiful things in this world, and she let me take care of the gardens there." Saeran paused for a second, and then laughed slightly. "V even bought me a book on the meanings of different flowers."

He then looked away from the daffodils, eyes settling on the sky.

"Do you think he'll ever forgive me?" Saeran asked quietly.

"You know that he already has." Jumin responded. Saeran made a small noise of acknowledgement, clearly disbelieving but not wanting to argue, and turned his eyes back to the flowers. There was a momentary pause before he finally looked at Jumin.

"Do you mind if we get rid of these?" He asked.

"It's your garden. You can do whatever you want with it." He honestly didn't want to get rid of them, but Jumin knew what the flowers meant to Saeran. Who they represented.

Saeran nodded and move forward so that he was sitting on his knees. There was a moment's pause as he analyzed the flowers, but then he reached out, grabbing the daffodil by the base and yanked it out by the root.

Jumin watched in silence as Saeran systematically pulled up the bed of flowers. When he was done, Saeran sat back and leaned his head against Jumin's shoulder. He laughed.

"Well that felt therapeutic." He said, smiling up at Jumin.

"I'm glad." Jumin smiled back at him and kissed his forehead. "What do you want to replace them with?"

Saeran looked contemplative for a moment before giving his answer.

"Chamomile Sunrays."

(Months later, Jumin took a picture of the bloomed flowers. For once it wasn't blurry. Saeran grew these for you read the text he had attached the picture to. He pressed send.)

I think the reason why some ships that include Saeran are rarepairs is because he doesn't really interact with them in casual/deep story (I haven't played another story so idk what happens there) and even if he does, it's to scare them. Anyway, I would like to hear why you think Jumin and Saeran would be a good pairing bc it honestly sounds like it has potential!

True true. Tbh the only popular ship with Saeran besides with MC is with Yoosung I’m pretty sure.

Okay, so I came up with this before Another Story came out, and it was based after the secret endings and all that jazz. Because my add brain can’t form a sensical line, it went from this post, to emotional support animals, back to Jumin owning Elizabeth, to Jumin let’s Saeran pet Elly and somewhere along the line they fall in love.

And to be honest? I just feel like they could help each other. Jumin is a pretty solid dude, and that would give Saeran a solid support system. I’ve always seen Saeran as a pretty blunt person, which is something that Jumin likes. They both have pretty big issues. Saeran knows what it’s like to get tangled in your own mind, so he can help Jumin through it. Jumin knows what it’s like to be alone, and Saeran does too. 

They can use their own experiences and traumas to help each other grow.

It wouldn’t be a pairing that instantly fell in love, and that’s okay. Neither of them need to have the whirlwind romance that happens in the game. Grow and help each other. 

Idk. Hope this makes sense? I really like it though, even though they have no contact besides Jumin sticking his neck out to keep Saeran from getting kicked out of the hospital. But let me have my ship of possibility <3

To commemorate hitting 100 followers, let's give these boys some ice cream.

Jumin Han's sleep schedule was horrendous. There was always work to do and no matter how much he had given to Jaehee, he had the same amount. With the inclusion of Saeran in his life, things had gotten better. On their own, neither would sleep, but together they kept the other in check.

So for the first time in a long time, Jumin woke up at 2am and alone. His reaction to that last part had gotten better. No need to overreact to Saeran's absence. Especially no reason to panic the way he had when he had woken up to find Saeran gone from the apartment as well.

While the comfort of his bed was definitely calling to him, Jumin got up anyway, shuffling out to the living room in search of his missing boyfriend.

And there he found him, curled up next to the bay window of the penthouse, loosely holding a carton of ice cream in his hand, watching the cityscape. Jumin found Saeran's silhouette against the city at night beautiful, even with the apparent spoon sticking out of his mouth.

"Couldn't sleep?" Saeran startled at Jumin's voice, head quickly turning his direction, but relaxed as he saw who it was.

Pulling the spoon out of his mouth, he replied. "Yeah... nightmares and all that. So I decided to treat myself." Saeran replied, gesturing towards the carton with the spoon. "I didn't mean to wake you up."

Jumin shrugged, making his way over to the window and plopping down behind Saeran. As he pulled Saeran into his arms, he realized that Saeran wasn't wearing a shirt, something that almost never happened. Without much thought, Jumin began tracing the tattoo on Saeran's shoulder with his fingers.

Saeran immediately tensed, but soon relaxed, leaning back into Jumin's chest as to continue looking out the window.

"Give me a bite." Jumin murmured as he placed his head over Saeran's shoulder.

"No. Get your own ice cream." Saeran said, before shoving the ice cream laden spoon back into his own mouth.

Jumin huffed, and then reached up to cup Saeran's head to situate it so that he could pull him into a kiss. Saeran's surprise was evident, but began to kiss him in return, only to have Jumin pull back. He watched as Jumin's nose scrunched up.

"I don't understand how you can eat that flavor" Saeran couldn't prevent his laugh as Jumin's head dropped back to sit on Saeran's shoulder.

There was no urgency to go back to their bed. They had what they needed at the window. Each other's company and acceptance.

And ice cream.

Can you imagine Jumin meeting Ray?

Like one morning he wakes up and he hears Saeran muttering to himself. He doesn't catch most of it, but he does hear "What did he do?" repeated a couple times.

So he reaches over and is like "What did who do?" only to have Saeran flinch away with a sharp "Don't touch me"

Okaay, it's been awhile since this has happened, but Jumin backs off and gives him some space. But as he watches Saeran scrape at the black varnish covering his nails, he gets concerned. The nail polish was something that Saeran put effort into. It gave a small sense of control. So he tries again.

"Saeran. What's wrong?"

Saeran's head whips up and he stares at Jumin. "I'm not Saeran"

"What do you mean?"

"My name is Ray. I slept a little bit longer than I meant to, but now that I'm awake again I can go back to helping my Savior"
