An audience’s clapping track plays, and he claps enthusiastically as well. That’s the same voice from the PA- though. . . It didn’t sound as robotic through the system. Weird.
There’s mostly silence on your end. Then, someone speaks up.
“If you’re like! Here to kidnap us and stuff- I’ll like, let you have LIKE TWO STRANDS OF MY HAIR, if you let us go-”
Lancelot looks at Jun, a grin spreading across his face.
“Ohhh, sorry! No can do Jun-kun! We have plans for you!”
Before anyone can ask what plans, he continues on.
“Remember that little ‘Tactile Advancement Class’? Well, this is your initiation! You - dearly beloved students of Hope’s Peak Academy are going to engage in the biggest kind of challenge of them all! It’ll be rewarding in the end, I promise!”
He flashes a peace sign. You do remember such a letter being bound to your acceptance envelope. Was this all a prank then?
“Anywaaaay, you know what that challenge is? Guess, I’m so excited to tell you! Keep your hopes up!” When the class remains silent, he pouts. “Aww, you’re all no fun! So rude to your gracious host! Well, keep your heels on the floor, because some feet will be swept! The surprise is. . . you’re all going to kill each other! Think like - uhhh Battle Royale!? But less of a free for all, you know!”
Is this a joke? Nervous murmurs erupt from the class.
“No! This isn’t a joke, by the way! And to show that I am absolutely 100% SUPER SERIOUS, I’m going to kill one of you right now! Better start hoping it isn’t you!”
He raises his palm. Something red flashes. What is that? A laser? A bomb? Panic breaks out amongst the class. Some run to duck for cover, others seem to race to get something out to fight back against Lancelot. Who will it be?
His eyes settle on the student who had spoken before. “Ahhh, Jun-kun, I think you’ll make a nice sacrificial lamb-! Now hoooold still!”
